Hôtel Mercure Carcassonne La Cité

Such a beautiful hotel room, we really enjoyed our 1 night stay with our dog

Excellent hotel located a few minutes walk from the historic castle. Rooms were immaculate and spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were also excellent. A very minor issue personal to us was that the cups in the rooms were disposable. Tea is always better in a real cup. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family with small children had a great stay. Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms and an excellent breakfast.

The staff was very nice and helpful! Location couldn’t be better for accessing the cité. Very clean. The room was awfully small but the larger rooms seemed to have more beds! Breakfast was nice and varied. The bed was comfortable.

Excellent location very close to the walled city and with easy included parking. Easy check-in in an attractive lobby. Well appointed comfortable rooms complete with slippers and robes. Openable Windows, comfortable bed and pillows. However in our room, and especially in our bathroom, the lighting was poor and needs improvement. Also shower controls were confusing and a lack of grab bars makes showering dangerous. That said , the shower/tub design seems normal based on the many hotels we’ve stayed in in much of Europe. (I just don't understand the half-door separating the shower/tub from the bathroom.) Also no easy access to soap dispenser from seated position in tub. Restaurant pretty good for dinner. We didn’t have their breakfast. It was raining lightly during our visit and as such we were disappointed that the hotel did not have umbrellas to loan.

Perfect location for exploring the old town - walking distance. Staff are friendly and warm.

Nice hotel within walking distance of Carcassone fortress. Free parking. Several options for breakfast with fresh fruit, service was kind and patient.

The staff here at the hotel are very helpful and friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and I was made to feel welcome and respected at all times. The hotel both inside and out weee beautifully kept and comfortable.

Really exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful for checking to our departure. The room was clean, well laid out, comfortable and had a great view. A free soft drink mini bar to welcome you was a nice addition. The view from the bedroom was very nice. The breakfast was full of choice and the pool and garden were a nice place to relax with a good size pool.

A lovely hotel with an excellent restaurant. We had a lovely lunch on arrival and an extensive selection at breakfast. The hotel has a good pool and a sunbathing area, with poolside bar, plus a nice lounge and terrace. Good private parking and a short walk to the entrance to the old city.

This is a fantastic hotel, perfect for la cité, and a delightful ambience. Excellent staff, too!

This was a beautiful facility with comfortable rooms and great food--a perfect place for the last leg of our journey. I even went for a swim in the magnificent pool.
