4 nights in Carcasonne (1 night to many!) - great location and friendly staff - hotel very much a budget offering and could do with some TLC

Great location, perfectly situated in between the old and new city! Beautiful stroll through the new city ( which is about 800 years old) will take you from the gare to the hotel. From the hotel, an awesome walk over the vieux pont will take you to the old city and the chateau comtal. Keep in mind, rooms are very small and so are the bathrooms. But it is well kept and clean. Dont expect a lot amenities in the room. But there is hot water available in the lobby. The hotel over looks the pretty Gambetta Square and is a stone's throw from the Art Gallery which is free.

Well located hotel between the medieval town and the modern town,breakfast was simple , but nice.It should be noted that the bedrooms are very small,and only really suitable for a short stay.We would like to thank the exceptional staff ,who helped us by sorting out an urgent travel situation .....we very much appreciate them going the extra mile to help us ...

Nous avons passé une nuit à l'hôtel afin de pouvoir profiter des féria de Carcassonne jusqu'en fin de journée. Nous ne regrettons pas le choix que nous avons fait et le personnel a été très charmant.

Struttura molto basic. Camere poco spaziose, con bagno molto piccolo. Pulito ma un po' trascurato. Letti comodi e personale gentile. Adeguato per un appoggio di una notte ad un prezzo adeguato (anche se non economico).

As you would expect from IBIS, a no frills room but the bed was comfortable and the air-con worked.

Cet hôtel n'est pas digne du groupe Accor... Salle de bain avec de l'eau dans les murs... parois de douches jaunies en partie inférieure, coton-tige usagé au sol... poussière partout au sol... rien n'est propre. Une lampe est cassée et pas remplacée... le pommeau de douche ne tient pas... aucun respect du client SAUF le personnel très agréable mais qui semble dépassé par mes remarques. Les hôtels du groupe Accor étaient mieux tenus par le passé. Nous ne sommes pas prêts de revenir et nous vous déconseillons vraiment cet hôtel...

Staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Room a bit compact but had all that was needed. Behind was a bit grim and the eating out area could do with landscaping. We would go again.

Hôtel d'une autre époque : très vieillot. Une bonne profonde et complète rénovation ne serait pas du luxe. Passable pour une nuit sans être trop exigeant mais cet Ibis ne reflète pas la marque. Quitte à reséjourner à Carcassonne, j'irai ailleurs.

The hotel is located between the bastide and the medieval city so the it is practical. It is in front of a nice park however you can get a room looking to the back which is not a nice view. The room was not that good. Not very clean, specially the bathroom, bad pillows and not a useful hairdryer. I wanted to use a toilet when I collected my bag from the concierge and it was closed. Not nice that I couldn't even use a toilet after staying there.
