A basic, no-frills hotel that was clean and provided us with the essentials. Close to a train station, restaurants and cafes.

Awful experience

This place is a low budget hotel. I paid over 200 euros per night and it had zero amenities. Zero. Even the wifi was so bad that my phone only worked when it was off. So only stay here if it is in the 100 euro range. Then you cant complain about getting nothing.

Hotel is close to the u-bahn and s-bahn, so easy to get into central Hamburg and is also on the line directly from the airport. Room was as expected from Ibis, shower water pressure was a bit low, and the bed was a bit on the firm side.

Great location close to both over ground and under ground train links. Just 15 mins from Airport and City Centre. Staff friendly and spoke to us in English, our German is coming on but slowly. We will definitely return

Excellent location and close to train station. Rooms were simple and had the right amount of amenities. Unlimited breakfast also available but did not go for the option as we wanted to explore the city. Only 10 minutes train ride with regular underground and overground trains!

Worst experience ever, the hotel is so old and not clean, i can hear clearly the noise from the train in the room I stayed.

The room was spacious, comfortable, modern. Quite wide range of food&drink selection for breakfast. S1 underground station was 3min walk, that takes you directly to the city center or the airport. Good restaurants nearby (try the steakhouse!) Highly recommended hotel!

I stay at this hotel when I come to Hamburg to visit my cousin: it is a working visit. The hotel is always very clean, the room is good, the bed is comfortable, the shower is great, the air-conditioning works. The location is so convenient. Perfect! The staff are very helpful and friendly. Thank you.

The bed was uncomfortable mattress too thin. The room was clean but spoilt by the the carpet. I thought there was smears of black shoe polish but my friend pointed out if it is under the bed it is the design. Awful ! The double room was a bit squashed for 2 people. No facilities in the room. With such hot weather one should have assess to cold water. The bathroom was clean but insulation too noisy. The staff were good and helpful. It is was not budget hotel of the group hotels, but there is room for improvement.

This hotel was a great location as the Wandsbeker Chaussee stop on the S Bahn and the U bahn are one block away or about a 2-3 minute walk. They take about 10 minutes to get into the centre depending on your stop. We went over for the Christmas markets and needed a no thrills hotel as we would be spending hardly any time in the room. The hotel itself was good. The bedding was comfortable and we both got a good nights sleep. As other reviews have mentioned there is no noise despite the fact you are near a main road and a train station stop. The wi fi was very hit and miss; but we are old fashioned and just had a map and lots of Gluhwein to guide us (yes we did get lost). The breakfast was great and there was plenty of variety and the staff were all very helpful. Locally there are plenty of shops and I forgot my swimming costume as we wanted to visit the local olympic sized swimming pool (Alster-Schwimmhalle), so picked up one at the Decathlon store one block away. For snacks there is also an Aldi and a Netto food store one to two blocks away. Apart from those we didn't explore the local area a lot, but it did look lively in the evening and there is a university campus close to the hotel. Would we stay at this hotel again, yes we would; however I think on balance I personally would prefer to be a little closer to the centre.

Well-located hotel close to shops/restaurants and S1/U1 for access to city centre and airport. Clean room and quiet even though it overlooked a busy road junction.
