not up to the ibis standard, bathroom was very dirty with lots of hair from previous guests, the used to be light tiles were very dark, would need a high pressure water clean, everything in the room is very outdated, a renovation is clearly needed. Staff is very friendly though

For what i needed it was ok. Check in was very good andbtge staff helpful. Generally the room was clean and comfortable. It was the shower room that let it down. The joints in tge toilet and shower at the botoom had dirt or a dirt like stain. Nothingbthat cant be easily resolved!

not in primary location but the price is rather affordable during the exhibition period thats why we selected it. breakfast is fair but enough, rooms are clean but air-co is a little bit loud.

As i walked into my room there was a slight bad smell. Apart from that room was clean and wifi was hit and miss. The hotel is really close to the airport (5min ride on train S19, same train goes to the centre in 10mins) i only stayed for 1 night and i was allowed free early check in. Overall was decent.

The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-designed. The breakfast was fantastic, and most of the staff were kind. The room does not have any amenities (toiletries etc), and the hotel has nothing at all nearby except for the train station (10min to airport; 10min in the other direction to the middle of Cologne)

Nothing unexpected and good value for a one night stop as a place to stay. Convenient location to the airport and not far from the centre, an easy train ride away

Close to highway A4 for arrival and public transport to the city centre

I was on a road trip from the UK to Roth in Germany and stayed just the one night. The room was big and the bathroom was spotless really good powerful shower. I had a meal in the evening that was lovely as was breakfast. I struggled with my German but the staff were helpful speaking English. The surrounding area isn't great and close by are KFC McDonald's if you like their food. Train to Köln is a short walk away

Everything that was expected when staying at a regular Ibis. No problems encountered.

Staff was completely uninterested from the moment I came to the desk to check in; refused to look up from computer and no attempt at a greeting. Wifi did not work in my room and the reaction was "nothing I can do", without even attempting to understand the issue. Room was freezing cold and the bathroom did not smell great and was clearly not well cleaned.

Fine stop walked from Sbahn station along a quiet footpath away from road. 3 hotels close together . Kentucky Fried Chicken and a petrol station selling drinks and snacks. On the main line from airport to Koeln main train station.

We chose on price and received excellent value. Although outside of cologne the rail station is close and a regular service. We were very happy

I have stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my family in August 2014 and here is what I think Location – lets understand what it means. This is not close to the City Center. It is a business hotel and located 3 stops away by train from the city center. So, from city center, you have to take S13 and come to Frankfurter Strasse station and from there it is 650 meter walk. Hotel is easy to find. But if your main objective is to visit Cologne for a sightseeing trip, then please note that it is very much walkable and does not need the day pass if you stay near the center. So, the day pass of approximately 8 Euro is added to the cost if you decide to stay in this hotel. Room – very comfortable and clean. IBIS always maintains the same quality. Nothing to complain about. Staff – again, a mix. There was one gentleman who was very, very helpful and always with a smiling face. There were 1 other person who answer each question as if it is a great favor to you. Usually, the answer is “I don’t know” or “you need to find out”. Depending on the person you interact with, your experience will vary. Food – I didn’t try the breakfast. But coffee was fine. For each coffee, they charge some good money, but still it is ok. Please note that you don’t have much choice of food outside the hotel Overall, I will not say it was bad. But I will not say it was great either. Next time I go to Cologne, I will book a hotel near the city center.
