Mercure Hotel Berlin Tempelhof

Excellent location if you have business at the Estrel Convention centre, a ten minute cab ride away. Shops are nearby if you need anything and the staff are very helpful & friendly.

Very good hotel in perfect location

Good location in the city, very close to the Boddinstrasse Metro station. Bar and restaurant on site. Staff was friendly and efficient.

Water drainage very poor

Really helpful staff at check in. The hotel has its own car park - you can take the elevator straight to your room when you park. Also - unlike many city hotels, the parking charge is very reasonable. Nice rooms, good breakfast.

I had booked to stay there 2 night for work. The hotel's air conditioning was broken and was spewing hot air, so much that it was hotter in the room than outside (in the summer). I mentioned it to the front desk and they could not care less. overnight, I was woken up in sweat due to the heat and had to call to get a fan. It was the worse night I ever had. The next day, I checked out and went else where. The front desk was apathetic and could not care. It was a terrible hotel and I would not recommend it.

Charge for parking was too expensive, and the AC was inadequate for the temperature. Otherwise a great stay.

Hotel was perfectly fine though a little dated and the mattress was quite worn and not the most comfortable. Large room though and a big TV with plenty of options. The room was clean but there was a very odd smell in the lobby. I liked the location and it was easy to get around the city via the nearby U-bahn station

Good location

We opted for one of the premium rooms and we were glad we did so. It was extremely comfortable, well equipped and spacious, with a good view out over the city. The room contained a safe, tea and coffee making facilities, spare bedding etc. Neukölln is not necessarily everybody’s idea of a holiday destination, but we were pleasantly surprised. It has a very cosmopolitan and buzzy feeling about it. It is within easy reach of Templehof and Hasenheide, and a short underground journey from the centre of Berlin. We would certainly stay there again.

Staff were welcoming and helpful Breakfast was brilliant. Excellent choice and plenty of it. Wifi in room was very poor, constantly dropping out and fairly useless Hairdryer didn't work Air conditioning didn't work - temp said 19.5 degrees but that was as low as you could go and the room was still really hot. Couldn't sleep with the window open as far too much street noise and sirens. Showering flooded the bathroom floor as the shower screen had a gap of about 1" above the edge of the bath

I have stayed at this Mercure previously and it was quite nice, comfortable and conveniently located. I usually do recommend this hotel. On this occasion, the experience was memorable but for different reasons. Arriving in the afternoon, there was a line of customers waiting to be checked in, my wait was 25 minutes, it took far less time in passport control than check-in. On the second day, owing to what I later learned was a flood in another room, the water supply was cut off - no one knocked on the door to explain this and as the telephone did not work in the room, I could not inquire about this. My day began with limited ability to finish my morning routine, luckily there was a bottle of water but... overall not good! The lamps all include dim, tinted bulbs and even with each lamp turned on, the lighting is poor, even in the bathroom. The black-out curtains would have worked perfectly but, they did not fit the window completely so, there was outside light coming into the room either in the middle where the curtains did not meet or from both sides of the wall. The TV remote was malfunctioning so there was no way to adjust the volume. Unfortunately the 220V outlet did not allow for a standard shaver plug to work, it required an adaptor which most experienced travellers do take with them so at least I could use this. Little things like this do add up and does affect the overall experience whether business or leisure, I will think twice about booking at this location again.
