Schloss Neuenhagen

A b&b in a restored late medieval castle. The owners are working on it by themselves. We also met one of their friends who gave us some historiographic info about the place, lovely man. Both have a background in art, so the location is beautiful to perceive and the whole region is worth exploring. If on foot, one will not be able to avoid roads at least some times but there are great paths that haven't been entered for what seems to be years. We had a great time.

We stayed there only one night, it was absolutely lovely, we felt like home (even if we don’t have any castle!). We felt very welcomed, the place is absolutely beautiful and charming, it was like being part of an old tale. The perfect place to take a breath from the crazy Berlin!

This impressive, fairy tale looking place is situated in a beautiful landscape, next to a farm with cows! Now we know that there is a little kingdom waiting for us anytime we want to start a getaway night, just near Berlin! It felt so nice to be in this castle; surrounded by antique furnitures with modern touches and nice artworks by the owner - perfect place to relax! Can’t wait to be back again !

I would like to thank the family that runs the castle. I was there for a weekend. The room was warmed, lit and prepared when I arrived. The breakfast was beautifully prepared and was already on the table ready to eat. It was a very quiet and lovingly furnished hotel where you could relax and unwind. There is only one star deducted because the room was a bit dusty. Regardless, it was a very nice stay and I would like to come back.

Unfortunately, pure disappointment. Cleanliness was a big problem, there were cobwebs everywhere and unfortunately also spiders, not fun for a phobic I would say. We asked for oat milk for breakfast and was promised it, but unfortunately we never got it. The first day there was a boiled egg, the second day not even that. You couldn't choose what you wanted to eat either, everything was only available on an allotment basis. It's like the deep east and a planned economy. Mostly all ready-made products, there is literally a local fruit and vegetable business opposite. Everywhere on the streets there are vegetables, sausage, honey, jams from the region and then cheap packaged sausage and cheese, no, not with me. The operators were unresponsive, not on site, even if you had wanted to speak to them, it was practically impossible. You want to play in the top league with the location, the prices do too, but unfortunately the performance is very poor and subpar. I felt ripped off and will definitely not be coming back and would advise anyone not to do so.
