They are doing a big renovation of the original structures, so all the rooms I have known for the past year and a half are closed. The newly renovated rooms are very modern, with new bathroom fixtures, great hot water heaters. But the restaurant in not accessible to me as I can't climb stairs. Room service is fast and friendly, they make my potato chips (now called French fries) as brown and crunchy as I want them. Their old Fashioned cocktail is still one of the best I have ever had, on 3 continents, so I recommend it. Their fried rice is actually fried rice, not rice cooked with a Maggi cube so it looks brown but is not really fried at all, which is the stuff you will find in a lot of restaurants in Ghana. I had chicken fried rice the other night and it had egg, finely chopped carrots and scallions, and it was properly fried so that the rice began to caramelize. Just delicious, and a generous portion for a reasonable price. Delivered piping hot and quickly. The staff are all very kind and helpful. Attentive. This hotel has the qualities of a 5 star fancy "downtown" big name place, but it is tucked away on a dirt road in Adjiringanor. I have been staying here for a volunteer program I was doing at a Special Ed school a few blocks away. My project has ended, and I do not know when I will find reason to visit this area again, as I live in Cape Coast. I will miss being here every week! I highly recommend you treat yourself to a Golden Crystal Experience too.

They are doing a massive renovation of original building. My toom in new part was spotless, had lots of electric outlets and a power strip with universal sockets was provided. Bed was exceptionally cozy and my back felt great in the morning. Dining via room service. They still make the best Old Fashioned cocktail on 3 continents. New shower fixtures a joy hot water enough. Only problem, a man installed the towel bar in the bathroom as it is 7 feet from the floor. I am tall, but not that tall. It needs to be lowered. And a hook on the bathroom door for my robe would be nice. 2 hooks, one for the towel I can't reach the towel bar to hang up after using it. And the bed linensvand towels were crisp anf spotless as usual. I am eager to see the renovations!

Customer service was great! A few issues. Restaurant did not have certain items on the menu, not to mention no wine. Also we bought wine on outside and asked them to open and the young lady used a pair of scissours for cork removal. Rooms have do not diisturb, but they knock, then you receive call from front asking if you want your room cleaned. Overall nice place. Thank you

We’ve stayed at this property several times and we love it. The people who work here are amazing! The food is great, staff are warm and friendly, facilities are clean and well maintained. The only reason we will choose a different hotel is because there is no pool and we love to take a daily swim on vacation. Otherwise, this is a wonderful gem of a hotel ❤️

Find out before you book your stay if they have the amenities you are looking for. I went from 40 degree weather at home to 90 degree weather in Ghana and want to cool off in the pool. They DO NOT HAVE A POOL! No breakfast buffet! Went about 3 days total with no television. Half the time the air conditioning didn’t work. Hope you don’t mind cold showers. They didn’t have half of the amenities listed. On the bright side the room was clean and housekeeping came daily. The staff was kind to us and always greeted us coming and going.

If you worry excessively if a bit of wall paper is peeling off, or if a phone wire box in the wall has no cover, or if the lamp by the bed has 2 round prongs but the socket is a standard UK only socket (not a universal socket) so you can't plug the lamp in...Then this is not the place for you. If you like a solidly constructed building with a good shower and hot water, a good open air sports bar restaurant that serves nice food at reasonable prices, friendly helpful staff, nice swimmimg pool, then this is a wonderful hotel. The beds are comfortable, linens crisp and clean, bathroom clean, plenty of nice pillows on the beds. AC that works, ceiling fan that works, large wardrobe built in, a good small fridge with a freezer ...then this is the place..East Legon is near. Accra Mall is near, and Adjiringanor area has lots of good restaurants besides the hotel restaurant which makes lovely fried plantain. Thai, Turkish, Dutch, all close to the Golden Crystal. When I arrive after a brutal drive from Cape Coast, I head for the on site restaurant and have fried chicken and fried plantain and the best Old Fashioned cocktail on 3 continents.

This place is pretty convenient to the airport. It’s clean. Pool is small but ideal for a cooling dip where the hotel fails It’s the complete lack of efficiency in ordering or staff. It’s an airport hotel so you expect the breakfast to be opened on time instead it’s 45 minutes late, And then they didn’t have any coffee. Trying to get hold of the light for cigarette is like trying to negotiate with Manuel from Fawlty Towers. The staff are friendly but completely and utterly ineffective. How does a hotel run out of coffee? The bar is empty and closed at 11. Needs a management change and staff training.

I have become a regular visitor to Golden Crystal Experience hotel anytime am in Accra. The hotel has excellent facilities and clean rooms. It is also located not far away from the airport and in a very serene environment. The staff are very professional and friendly especially the reception staff. I would recommend the hotel to anybody who comes to Ghana, Accra to be precise for a vacation or business trip lodge.

My stay overall was pleasant. The gym and breakfast staff were great. The restaurant staff conveniently never had change, nor was the system working when I went back to investigate. I suspected this was a tactic to steal money and as a result I did not tip, and opted to dine elsewhere when I could. Better privacy blinds are needed in the bathroom. I used a towel to completely obscure and sheerness.

Lovely outdoor restaurant with big TV screens so you can watch soccer. Wait staff attentive (compared to usual Ghana experience of wait staff ignoring customers). Rooms very comfortable, hot water, clean bathrooms. Friendly check in. A plus for me, the bartenders make a very good Old Fashioned cocktail, which is hard to find even in the US. And when I ask for very crisp French fries, I get very crisp French fries. When I ask for no pepper, I get no pepper. I will be back.
