Perfect hotel for 3 nights in Reykjavik! We booked a double room with balcony, but we were disappointed that the bed was smaller than we expected and was right against the wall. Reception staff were lovely and upgraded us to a deluxe room (thank you again)… this room was fantastic.
The common areas were ample, warm and inviting. The hotel is right next to the whale boat tours and about 15 minute walk to the centre (but with lots of bars and restaurants to pop into on the way).

Wish we could've stayed more than one night! This was a great hotel. The room was comfortable and charmingly Scandinavian. There were great food options around, including at the hotel. The staff were great and the view was amazing. The hotel is near two bus stops, making it easy to do northern lights tour and go back and forth from airport

Lovely, quiet location by the harbour. I very much enjoyed my stay, just one note to fellow travellers - I booked a balcony room which was depicted as having a harbour view. Half of the balcony rooms face inland to the city, and so the view is not as inspiring. Would have preferred the option to book a harbour view.

Hotel is near to but not too close to downtown, walking in snowy conditions can be difficult. It feels like in a far side corner of the main city centre, entrance is odd and breakfast is very basic.

Could not have asked for better! Do yourself a favor and pay the little more for a balcony room. They view of the marina and mountains is worth it! Great location, easy walk to restaurants and shops and close to bus stop 15. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great location. A day or two before my arrival I received an email to upgrade my room. I made an offer that was accepted. I don’t that it was worth it because my view of the harbor was considerably obstructed by a ship under rehab. Also, even though I paid a lot more for the upgrade it did not include access to the breakfast buffet. The buffet costs a lot, so I opted to eat at nearby places like Hygge Cafe and DEIG. Both places are excellent and worth the $. I also thought it strange that they charge for the coffee they serve in the lobby. Seems like a basic gesture to offer your guests. Despite these crtitcisms, I would stay here again. The location was fantastic.

The hotel was located in an easy access with a view along the harbor with a grocery store around the corner. Junior suite was perfect for my family of four. Quaint hotel with holiday cheer and character, fire pits to welcome and warm and friendly staff to help made our trip perfect. If you want to get in early than 2 pm however I would recommend booking the room the night before if you have an early morning arrival from a red eye as the room otherwise may not be available. Breakfast was delish and great to walk down to every day
