The Freezer Hostel & Culture Center

Solid place to stay in an area with lots of drivable sites

Staying at the Freezer Hostel was unique. It had delightful art and provided an opportunity to meet people. We reserved a family room for 4 people and the double bed was really small for two adults. It was a great location to check out some if the sights in the National park.

Such a cute place! Everyone friendly. Room clean and cozy with our own super nice bathroom.

Really enjoyed the stay and the rooms where spot on too.

This place is cool - a funky hostel on an awesome peninsula! The new expansion has amazing artwork and is very relaxing.

It was ok! Great location but not clean.

Great artsy space in a small fishing village. Clean and has a usable kitchen area which is a big plus!

Surrounding area is messy

Close to attractions. Outside look was not good and dirty. Bathroom has only one dark color towel, doesn’t look clean. Bedsheet was dark color too.

This is a good value hostel for exploring the peninsula. We stayed in the Time Machine Room - which had 4 bunk beds in it. There are no lockers or privacy curtains, but the blackout curtains work really really well. They also provide some great 3M ear plugs for free. The kitchen is a good size and we were able to cook breakfast and dinner without fighting for space. Lovely huge common room which also doubles as a bar/live music venue/and hosts a theatre. Unfortunately nothing was on when we stayed (Mon/Tuesday night) but they do have events on Thurs/Fri/Sat. There were two bathrooms for the hostel, and I was worried about queuing but ended up having no issues at all using a bathroom when needed. Rif is a very small fishing harbour/village and there isn't really anything to do in Rif itself - you'll want to get out and about. Parking was easy.

Convenient to access the National Park

Very unique place. Great common area. Fully equipped kitchen. All sorts of games available for fun, even a ping pong table!

This place is really wonderful. The staff is very friendly, and there is a lot of space to relax and feel at home, and a fully stocked kitchen for making meals. The only minor complaint I have is the shower for the front dorms, you can't adjust the water temperature yourself, it's already pre-set, and it's lukewarm at best, and also a camp shower so you have to continuously hit a button to get water. So, in the winter that's a little rough. So I recommend booking the back room with the private bathroom if you are really into hot showers. :D Other than that, I loved it here!

Awesome vibes and incredible lounge, huge and warm and welcoming. Showers&toilets were pretty bad though- barely warm water that you had to keep pressing and couldn't really control and only 2 stalls for everyone (wasn't such a huge deal but not the best). Also had some kind of leak in the dorm like rain water or something. Other than that it was really nice atmosphere and a really cool place to spend a night.

It is an old building, clearly not renovated lately, the guy of reception is really friendly, though.
