Residency Hotel Fort

Very very nice staff and location. The floor person Abhishek was always very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was okay, but can be a little crowded around 9am. Good hotel to explore southern Mumbai.

Excellent place to stay, we were in the deluxe room, it was lovely. There was a set up for coffee& tea as well as a small fridge. Rooms were very clean. It has an elevator which was a plus for us. Breakfast was wonderful, eggs done any way & Indian dishes as we as Western dishes fruit juice latte cappuccino muffins cookies, dosa. The service was incredible just ask & they will do anything to help you. You stay here when in Fort. It’s close to many attractions.

The greatest two assets that this hotel has are the exceptional staff working there and the wonderful location. Right in the heart of a wonderful, walkable, neighborhood - you're immersed in the heart of the city. This hotel is not a grand, five star hotel. What it is however is a very well located and expertly run property. The breakfasts rival those of five star hotels and what they may lack in terms of breakfast options, they more than make up in quality, quantity and in service. The people and staff at the hotel are truly exceptional. They are friendly, helpful, and genuinely decent people. One suggestion - invest in better wifi for your customers. More and more travelers expect high quality wifi as a basic necessity. We found access to wifi to be spotty at times and the server would make us re-register multiple times during our stay. This is something that is totally fixable and a worthwhile investment for the hotel to make in improving the guest experience.

Kind staff, nice facility, beautiful room

The Regency Fort Hotel is rated 2 stars but offers a 5 star service. It is ideally located and within walking distance of the Fort/Colaba attractions. The rooms are clean, functional with comfortable beds. Ghopal and Rajesh are real assets. They are great problem solvers and look after us. The cosy dining room is a highlight. Chef makes a mean omelette. Baloo and Kesi are exceptional and bring a sense of fun to breakfast. Will definitely return to the Resi when next in Mumbai.

Great staff, close to India Gate, clean and today hotel

This was my Second stay at Residency so this stay was more as a friend and less as a guest! I got a very warm welcome by concierge Rajesh who couldn't have been more delighted to see the passenger emerging from the taxi! His customary Good Morning Maam immediately turned into a shriek of delight. Sushant at the desk had very kindly already arranged for an early check in for me. After a quick freshen up in my lovely room in the annexe next door I went for breakfast where Peter welcomed me back! The cafe staff Kesar, Baloo, Chef Girish were delighted to see me. Every morning from then on I felt totally at home in the cafe. Kesar and Baloo often without being asked anticipated my likes and so I got excellent table service and refills of my favourite masala chai! The buffet breakfast included in the room price caters to all tastes. Fresh fruit, fruit juice, cookies, cakes and some popular street foods already waiting under domed dishes for the guests to choose and enjoy! But it is their freshly prepared items to individual tastes like eggs as you like them, omelettes, dosas and uttapams, waffles etc.that I saw other guests too enjoying most. The new staff member Jeeban too takes pride in preparing and presenting dishes just as Kesar is famous for his expertly decorated lattes! A big thank you to some very interesting guests I got to chat to at breakfast. Thanks also to the ever smiling Pushkar at Reception and Concierge Gopal for his help during checkout! Cramped spaces, as to be expected in a big city. But great amenities and excellent service. Extremely helpful staff.

The staff here is excellent. Every single person was fantastic. The hotel conditions feel like they’re falling behind… there was a huge crack in a mirror in my room, the shower wouldn’t stay a consistent temperature, but nothing that was too bad. Each time the staff addressed an issue with care and went above and beyond. There’s also a lot of construction going on right by the property, but overall a great location and easy to walk many places.

The staff could not have been more welcoming! The breakfast staff in particular really went the extra mile! The specialty coffee guy was so sweet and attentive! Our room was in the annex and was beautiful with lots of built-in cabinetry and a very nice bathroom! Highly recommend!

Great stay for a few nights. We were joining a cruise and the hotel is located close to port (7 min journey by car). Staff are very attentive. Great Masala Dosa for breakfast. Hotel is walking distance to many restaurants and gateway to India approx 25 min walk. Rooms were adequate for our stay.

A small, reasonably priced, clean, conveniently situated hotel with very friendly service. A little diamiond for a short city break.

I loved the ambiance of Hotel Fort. I was welcomed so warmly and my room was divine. The dining room is so beautiful I was lost in its charm. The food was fantastic and Keshar made the most amazing artworks on the lattes. My visit was so memorable and special I can't wait to return. Their motto of 'Come as guests, leave as friends ' was certainly true. Special thanks to Rajesh who always had a big smile and nothing was ever a problem. Being a solo traveller I appreciated the care everyone took and for looking after my delivery. Thanks again Peter and the rest of the front desk. I will definitely be returning for a longer stay. 🙏😊

We had a lovely stay at the hotel - the staff were so attentive and went over and above to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The hotel was very clean and in a great location for seeing nearby sights such as the Gateway of India. We would highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel exceeded expectations. We booked the best room we could and it was lovely. We didn’t have a view but tbh it was quieter that way. Breakfast was good although we sometimes had to wait for a table. They were pretty full. The Hotel spans three buildings and so rooms do vary. Some are much smaller. The staff were welcoming and efficient, fixing a problem with our shower promptly as there wasn’t another suitable room to move to. The tube station close by is nearly finished and will provide efficient transport once the line is open. We used the system further North and found it clean, safe and faster than the road!
