Property was under renovation and we were not aware

Hotel is under renovation - they did tell us right from the start. I guess the price was lower than expected for that reason. That said, a lot of the smaller things were far from 5 star level. The bedding, towels, toiletries were all just... okay? Nothing bad, but not premium. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Included breakfast was good but barely changed over 5 days so some variety would be nice.

Construciton was gong on and it was noise and dirty too

Totally let down by this reservation. Upon entering the property I was told there was ongoing construction on the property and basically all amenities were off limits. I should have left right then. I decided to proceed with the stay figuring that it being a weekend construction would be non-existent or at least less. To my amazement, construction was going full force from 7am until 8pm on Saturday and the time I was there on Sunday! The hotel should show a little respect for their guests especially on a weekend. I could not even call down to the reception because my phone in room did not work. Adding to my displeasure was the hour long sound of something throwing up in another room, which the sound echoed through the vents from some other floor. Not an exciting sound to hear in the morning before breakfast. My last complaint, and probably most discusting, was that the first night I encountered 3 mosquitos at night. Two I was able to kill when I woke up throughout the night. The third actually went up my nose and bite and caused me to have a bloody nose, which got all over the blankets. Terrible and worrisome experience. I hope that I have not contracted anything from these mosquitos! The only credit I will give is to the staff and breakfast experience which I thought was excellent but was overshadowed by the constant construction noise and bugs!

It was noisy due to construction but the service and the quality of rooms more than made up for it . The breakfast was amazing

Don’t stay in this hotel until they rebuild this hotel. Hotel was loud, smoky, dusty, a friend had a bed bug bite.

Overall good experience, As property was under renovation it was not in best condition. Breakfast was good and nice service

Convenient access. Comfortable spacious clean rooms. Good amenities. Great restaurant. Easy checkin and checkout. Miss the previously grand lobby which after the recent renovations has been covered up! Centrally located in the city providing easy access to many shopping, dining and other places of interest. Reasonably priced. Great service. Highly recommended.

Helpful concierge easy to get around

Rooms were clean and breakfast was really good. If restaurants were open all day it would have been nice

Centrally located and clean facility with great service from staff. Did not like the charges for a bottle of water which in the outside market is 35 rupees and being charged 187 for a bottle of water in the restaurant. Breakfast was amazing.

Just need to lower prices of coffee and drinks. outrageously priced ! I get the ambience. but still can be made lower.

Overall, it was a good experience but had some shortcomings which can become a deal breaker! They need to look into the check-in process for the local ID holders. I never had this problem anywhere else in Chennai. Service has been outstanding!

Nice hotel. Good service. However the linen is worn out & doesn’t appear very clean. The towels are discolored & probably need to be replaced or washed better. Overall good stay

The hotel is in decent condition, though some areas are closed (The pool and rooftop lounge). This means your pretty much stuck to the room. Rooms are clean with good bedding. Toilet accessories are very good, though Towels need changing. Jonathan and Titli at the reception were very helpful and courteous. Asked for breakfast to be served in the room, which they obliged. Good dinner and breakfast menu, with a variety of Continental food.
