Grand Mercure Solo Baru

for me this hotel is very clean...and the next room is not noisy. we got a comfortable room, for the size of the facilities in the bathroom it feels lacking without a face towel or hand towel, the food here is very varied, the service is also friendly. the gym center is also very neat, clean and good equipment... the staff also serve well

Initially, we booked a hotel well in advance to come to Solo for transit, we arrived at 9 pm, and we found disappointment because the 3 rooms we booked did not match our request by bringing 6 family members, then I moved quickly to book at the nearest hotel, namely the Grand Mercure Solo Baru, because I just booked at 9 pm I thought I would get a different floor and poor service, on the contrary the staff was very friendly and polite, I was helped so that 3 rooms could be on 1 floor, and what amazed me, the Grand Mercure Solo Baru gave me an executive room upgrade from my initial superior order, thank you very much Grand Mercure Solo Baru, friendly and helpful staff and very, very high quality service, and will always be the most recommended hotel when coming to Solo Baru

The hotel is good but not yet worthy of its current stars.

The bedroom is old-fashioned for a 5-star hotel.

The service is not friendly, there is never any greeting at all. The hotel is poorly maintained and not ready for the high season.

The room is clean, comfortable, the mirror is placed in a place that can be exposed to bright light, and the window is wide so the room feels spacious. There is only one thing that makes us quite uncomfortable while staying, because the bathroom's curtain cannot be closed tightly to the bottom, so if someone sits or soaks in the bathtub, it will definitely be visible from outside. But overall, great hotel! The location is very strategic, also flanked by 2 malls on the side and in front of the hotel. Wish to stay longer, because yesterday we could only stay for a short time because there was an event outside.

The check-in process was easy and fast, room service was also okay and fast, the breakfast was top-notch, lots of variety, and delicious.

This time the stay was pleasant, I booked a superior room and got an upgrade to an executive room, especially during the holiday season. The room was clean, the bed was enough for a family with 2 children, the hotel location is close to places to eat that are still open during the Eid holiday.

The hotel is not well maintained, not clean, the sheets are dusty, the water tap leaks when turned on.

AC not cool enough, shower leaking water, and most disappointing is they didn't clean the room for a 2 nights stay. Clean up room sign placed around 9:30 am, when comes back in the afternoon at 14:30 it still hasn't been cleaned. The cleaner came when I was taking an afternoon nap when I specifically told the receptionist that I'm going to rest and requested the cleaning afterwards. Understand festive season is high season but professionalism should be upheld, especially this time. Not recommended place to stay.
