The check-in staff were exceptionally friendly and explained that they would accommodate an earlier check-in as soon as our room was ready. The lobby is really stunning, with fireplaces and a cozy ambience. The bar and restaurant on site were really nice too. I would recommend staying for breakfast, which we did. The breakfast spread exceeded my expectations. As we stayed on weeknights in January, it clearly was not the '' busy '' time of year. However, even though it wasn't that busy the spa of the hotel still had quite a few people in it. The spa facilities were beautiful, but I would imagine during the high season this gets overrun and wouldn't be as relaxing.

The hotel was smart, the rooms were warm and comfortable the staff were very helpful and the food was superb. Tricky to find a parking space after 5.00pm but doable. A couple of coat hooks in the room would be handy for hanging damp coats on instead of along with dry clothes in the wardrobe. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Impressive reception area, massive luxury room. Ate in the bar, great burger and good pints. Overall, experience was brilliant.

I had a sickening experience at this hotel . What made matters worse was a refusal to accept that something had gone wrong.

Wonderful 2 night stay. Service and staff were excellent and the rooms huge and very comfortable. An extra wow factor was the massive Xmas tree in the foyer in December. Ate in both the bar and fine dining restaurant Danú, with the only niggle being no cheese board. As someone who doesn't have a sweet tooth, I believe that cheese (particularly with Ireland's superb selection) should be part of a fine dining experience.

Spectacular but not cheap!

Location to where we wanted to be for a two night stay and easy to park. Clean, staff was wonderful, fan, restaurant, quiet, stairs and elevator. Full breakfast was very nice with lots to offer. Would stay here again and recommend.

A step above many other hotels, service is exceptional, spa is fantastic and the rooms are excellent. A great destination choice for family or solo trips. One of my Killarney favorites.

This is a great looking building from the outside & when you walk into the reception, it feels very grand! Staff are very nice, welcoming & always happy to help. Behind the scenes in places it does need updating & remedial repairs in the rooms. The spa could do with some repairs/replacement wood work due to dangerous rusty screws in the sauna room! Some of the functional buttons to activate the water jets/water fountains don’t work either! Stainless hand rails rusty too in places… such a shame! Superior suite is a nice size with all the facilities, even cobwebs over the windows & bad signs of damp/water damage round the windows! Lots of gurgling noises coming from the bathroom pipes constantly & the odd smell that came with too! No wall or door hooks to hang your coat up as you walk in, just wardrobe or on the back of a chair… The restaurant/bar is a nice area to socialise in with friends for drinks or even a bite to eat. When ordering food, try to beat the rush, if it’s more than chips you want quickly, then good luck because when they are busy, it takes a while.. & when it does arrive, they forget the meal you ordered for the kids… We also noticed that if there’s a function on until late, make sure your not in any of the front rooms of the hotel as we were woken twice over the duration of our stay after midnight by crowds of people outside smoking, waiting for rides home or just gossiping very loudly! When I spoke to the front desk, the said it’s just a function…

This hotel was 5 stars all the way! Their on site restaurant and bar/restaurant were exceptional. We were there for hiking and we were 5 minutes away from multiple trailheads. The staff were awesome and ensured our every needs were met. Do not miss the breakfast! I highly recommend this hotel to all!
