Wild Atlantic Apartments Killarney

The apartments were less than satisfactory. The pillows were not great and the other rooms my family booked did not have bath towels. When my mom reached out to get some, the main point of contact never got back to her. The hot water heater in my room was also broken so I had to suffer through an ice cold shower. The other guests in my room tried to help me figure out the water heater situation and none of us could get it to power on. Very disappointing.

We were not given bath towels, only hand towels. Information given stated we would receive towels.

It would have been helpful to have cloth or paper towels in the kitchen. We did not want to cook because there was no towel for clean up

The property was a 25 minute walk from the main area of town. It's an actual apartment building and the buildings looked a little rough. The rooms were clean but need some updating. The building itself wasn't awesome. There was plenty of space for a large group to share though.

The property management manager was very helpful and responsive.However the property is on the outskirts of Killarney and a 20 min walk in case you are going out at night in the town.

The place was dirty. We asked for more pillows and fan and they gave us some a day later. There was no shampoo or soaps. The oven didn’t work. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Communication was great and the unit was clean. The property and other buildings were pretty run down. The supplies in the kitchen were slim at best. Couldn’t have cooked anything since there was really nothing to use. Not enough silverware without having to wash every other day vs using dishwasher. It was barebones but big enough with plenty of bathrooms to go around. Beds were comfy and the place was very clean

Size of the property is great, however needs updating as it is run down. Worst part is all of the disputes late at night in the parking lot. Happened both nights when we stayed there. The police finally cleared them out at 11:30pm.

A bit far to walk to center of town. Place was a little outdated. Set up for 4 guests, even though had booked for 5. No hair dryer. No shampoo / conditioner. Washer but no tumble dryer. TV is tiny. Limited kitchen supplies. Communication with host was great - to provide additional chairs, bedding, pillows etc. Overall okay.

Very comfortable and mostly clean, but the shower was leaking and the heater would not turn on for the first night. Tried to contact the liaison, but after meeting her on the first day, there were no more replies.

Everything was mostly clean, but using the water heater was an adjustment and neither of the toilets flushed correctly. That was quickly fixed by maintenance though. My only real complaint about the property was the noise level. It seems that these apartments are rented out to large groups of students who party and make an unbelievable amount of noise. Great amenities, not so great with the noise.

Great and convenient place. The apartment is fairly large and has all the necessary amenities.

Nice apartment. Great communication and directions. Would definitely stay here again.

We had no heat, not enough hot water. The towels we had were barely enough. No extra blankets.

If I could give this property minus 5 stars I would. It smelt like urine in the kitchen and lounge area. Was dangerous for small kids with 2 heaters hanging off the wall and a shower just hanging on! There was unrepaired holes in the walls feom doors been banged. We only stayed one of the four nights we booked be got out of there quick!

Excellent service

We arrived - got into the apartment and turned around and walked out. It was dingy, baths were moldy it smelled musty. Area was a bit sketchy. Had to Scramble for lodging elsewhere

The property is peculiar.. it feels like an American dormitory, and while the units are spacious, they contain the bare minimum of amenities. For example, they offer a washing machine, but no laundry soap. Each bed had a very thin pillow and a comforter. If you needed another blanket in the cold you were out of luck. I messaged to ask about things like the laundry soap and received no response. I also found hair left behind in the shower and in the washing machine. Definitely not the best, strictly functional and not worth its cost.

We stayed in a clean 2 bdrm apt on the top floor. Good location - across the road from a grocery store and shopping area with anything you could need a very short walk away, and not far from the center of town. The building is in a complex with a handful of others behind a hotel along the busy street. We arrived after 7pm and the parking area was nearly empty. Since the apartment was behind the hotel it was very quiet, especially at night. But it also felt lonely and abandoned since the buildings are large and all of them seemed completely empty when we arrived. The exterior is reasonably maintained, lawns mowed etc. but no frills- no flowers etc, just bare-bones, old, and well used, like a former project house for lower income tenants. The host sent easy instructions on how to get into the unit, no problems. The unit they gave us to had a broken lock and damage around the door frame that looked like someone had kicked it in and never properly repaired- it only latched when the lock was double-bolted. Combined with us being the only people around made me feel unsafe. We took precautions to secure the door, but still felt nervous. I would not have stayed if I were a woman traveling alone. The interior was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for living, and everything worked perfectly. Furnishings were new enough. Some surfaces could do for a redo. In the end we had a smooth & relaxing stay - it fit our needs well for the big space and the price was right.

Gorgeous, spacious 2 bed apartment, 2 bathrooms, big balcony, all the amenities (except a cork screw but that’s ok). Very comfortable beds. Excellent communication from the staff and very reasonably priced. Great location too
