Air conditioner malfunction not resolved by the manager, despite reports. Towels not replaced after two nights, despite having been placed in the shower as indicated. Room not soundproofed, it felt like being on the street despite the closed balcony, third floor without lift. Positive note about the location. 😬 To be reviewed.

We stayed in the SOLE 🌞 room with a magnificent view of the port of Porto Azzurro. Cozy / clean room is equipped with every comfort (mini fridge in the room appreciated). The owner Michele is a very nice person who will be able to give you the right tips to best visit the island. We would recommend it to everyone but with an eye on motorcyclists like us as he is also a biker.

Sea view guest house and not B&B as written, as breakfast is not included. Sea view, from a very small terrace (1 MT x 1 MT) and almost impracticable due to two large steps to access it, however the room available to us was clean and fresh (the position of the air conditioner was excellent, as it was absolutely not annoying even if left on at night), excellent bathroom, the only flaw in the bathroom is the courtesy service (available for 7 nights for 2 people: a bar of soap and a sachet of shower gel). Another flaw, certainly subjective, are the cushions as tall as a booklet. *Unfortunately, the road below is heavily trafficked by vehicles and leads to sudden awakenings at night. The owner was kind and courteous upon our arrival, giving us all the information about the area, only one of which was incorrect (free parking in a conad area which was no longer free but paid for, perhaps recently). To conclude, overall the quality/price ratio is normal, without excelling.

Overall nice but we didn't expect certain things nor have they ever happened to me. Starting from the positive points: close to the sea and with a window in the hall overlooking the port, price not too high for 2 but it was also in mid-September, right below there are shops, restaurants, a scooter/car rental, the woman who gave us the keys was very kind and helpful. But I also feel like listing the negative points: not very central for the island, no breakfast "due to Covid" or agreements with bars, being a guest house no one is constantly present near the room, or at least not so close given that the From what I understand their headquarters is in Capoliveri. After informing us that check in would be by 6pm we were a little alarmed as it was not our fault but the delays due to the means by which we arrived (train and ferry) I informed the receptionist several times that we would certainly arrive late explaining the uncomfortable situation we were in. We were told that since dinner in their hotel started at 7.30pm it would not be possible to get us the room even though I had suggested trying to check in remotely by sending photos of the documents and paying by card. It would have been enough to send someone before 6pm to leave the room keys for us somewhere. We arrived at 7.20pm. From Capoliveri to Porto Azzurro it is just over 10 minutes by car and they could have sent someone quickly. We were told that we would have the room after 10pm!! fortunately the door of the condominium was open and we left our bags in front of the room door hoping that they wouldn't take them away. Tired, needing to shower and change, we waited for 10pm by walking around. When the people we chatted with heard us talk about "check in at 10pm" they remained speechless. The second inconvenience was at check out, just to crown the beautiful situation. We left the room at 8 in the morning and thought about leaving our bags in a corner of the hall where they wouldn't bother us. I therefore communicate the possibility of carrying at least the key to the main door with us so as to come and collect it in the evening and obviously not have to carry it with us. This time too the answer was negative. Contextual words "We are a non-professional guest house Not a hotel We don't have a reception We have no duplicates We have the pass to come in and do the cleaning You could do as you did on arrival Leave them outside the door of our guest house and then at most ring the bell for one of our roommates" I think a duplicate key would have been the minimum given the precedents. It was also suggested to us to take them to the hotel in Capoliveri but you understand the inconvenience given the absence of a car. And practically nothing, we found ourselves with our suitcases in the square having breakfast and asking the scooter rental shop if they could keep them for us, but they were very kind.

The boiler didn't work, it didn't heat even a liter of water, so much so that my husband and I were forced to take a shower in my in-laws' room twice. And in any case in both rooms the shower sets were completely worn out, so much so that the owner blamed the previous guests.
