Hotel Il Granaio

Room comfortable and clean. All staff very friendly. Owner goes out of her way to please. Excellent price B&B in Mantova

We just left the Granary hotel and I already miss it! Mrs. Dina, a lady, whose kindness is exquisite! We had a hearty breakfast and drank excellent coffee. The room that hosted us was comfortable, clean and tidy. When I return to Mantua, I already know who will host me! Thank you Mrs Dina!

The hotel offers good value for money. The slightly dated furniture is contrasted with the large space of the room. Unfortunately we happened upon a gathering of motorcyclists who were not so quiet in the evening and in the morning. Everything else was fine, from the service to the very friendly staff considering that we brought our kitten with us.

Terrible experience! I stayed at this hotel for work and it was stressful. Starting from the fact that there is no parking and it is not advisable to park inside because the gates open and close at times that are convenient for the staff... At first glance the rooms seem welcoming but it is only appearance. I found it difficult to sleep at night because of all the noise in the street and in the nearby rooms, from which I could hear every sound! I would add that the first day I arrived I found spiders scattered around the room... one was even in the bidet. And in the room where I stayed there was never hot water except late in the evening, around 10pm if not later! Finally, I would add that the behavior of the staff was not exactly courteous, in fact the ladies who tidy up the rooms have the habit of entering the rooms without knocking or asking if anyone is there. They also move personal effects as they please, it happened to me that they threw away a bag with some personal care products inside... imagine my surprise when I didn't find my things because they were taken away without asking or in any case without having the foresight to check whether it was rubbish or not (it was very understandable that it wasn't rubbish given that the bin was unused and the products inside my personal container were perfectly visible). I want to conclude that I will never return to this hotel again as the experience was nothing short of unforgettable... in a NEGATIVE sense, a nightmare week!

I only stayed one night, the room and bathroom were clean, but unfortunately the air conditioner didn't let me sleep all night, first it didn't blow cold air second the noise was infernal so much so that I got up at 5.45 to leave... let's not talk about breakfast... all packaged things from I don't know what brand, but they looked like those from Mulino Bianco... not a piece of bread that could be made with simple butter and jam and the cappuccino was not worthy of the name. I understand that the price was low, but this does not justify the poor service.. unfortunately my feedback is not positive at all.
