small apartment but including everything, recently renovated, clean, in a residence. Mrs. Sofia was very attentive until our arrival. positioned very close to the sea but the windows overlook the entire courtyard

Suburb hotel. Excellent breakfast. Very nice rooms with sea view.

This is a very pleasant, modern and stylish hotel. The hotel has a small private beach and a pleasant pool area. The staff is very friendly and courteous. There is sufficient parking available. The breakfast buffet is great and offers a big variety of very tasty Italian sweets and fruits. The rooms offer great views on the coastline. Unfortunately there are some limitations. The rooms have curtains which do not darken the room sufficiently so the sun wakes you up early. Further, since the hotel is located at a street with much traffic dining on the terrace may not be very pleasant. Last, the shower box is pretty small. However, we had a pleasant stay and will return the next time .

During the “emergency” heatwave in Italy this past July 2023, my daughter and I drove from Rome through the beautiful Apennine Mountains to this hotel, expecting major language barriers, culture shock and very few menu items we could eat. We are American, do not eat much seafood, and sadly, speak very little Italian. To our surprise, we couldn't have been more mistaken! The staff was generally very accommodating, and someone always spoke English (Elena/Aliana [sp?] at the front desk was particularly helpful). The food was delicious (we ordered dinner twice), and the free breakfast buffet was very elaborate – plenty of choices for all. They even come to your table to take your coffee/espresso order and deliver it to you. Our room (#427 I believe) and balcony had a spectacular view of the Adriatic. Sunrises were amazing, while watching the fishing boats. There are MANY steps to the private, PAY beach that provides lounges and an umbrella. My only complaint is that people stake their claim early and hang their towels, etc. on many of the lounges and umbrellas, then leave for several hours. This didn’t seem fair to me as we only stayed an hour or two each day but paid the same as those who staked their spot for the entire day/evening, even when they weren’t there, so that no one else could use them. We did luck out and managed to get 2 lounges and an umbrella when we went down, but never had our choice as the majority already had other people’s belongings on them or were currently in use - I believe the hotel was sold out so it might not always be this crowded. The steps back up to the hotel can be daunting, especially in 100-degree heat, so beware. It is still worth it to have lounges and an umbrella already set up to use on this rocky but gorgeous beach, and you don’t really have to worry much about leaving your belongings hanging on the umbrella while you take a dip in the crystal-clear water. We highly recommend renting bikes and biking the wonderful bike/pedestrian trail that runs along the beautiful Trabocchi Coast. Enjoyable even in a heatwave! Would love to someday return to La Chieve dei Trabocchi!
