Hotel Villa Argentina

If very nice hotel. It’s not downtown if that’s important to you. There are many hotels in town and many around the outskirts/mountain areas. The area has a lot of people biking, hiking, in the winter skiing and shopping with great restaurants downtown. I am from the northeast part of America and it reminded me of some of the old hotel/Italian resorts in the Catskill mountains of New York. They had breakfast every morning if you chose that. Also, dinner at the hotel, which was very nice or you could go downtown to a restaurant. You definitely needed to make reservations for either. Very minor but the shower Was not directly from the front. It was obviously retrofitted because of the age of the hotel. Not a big deal at all. Overall, it was a great place to stay

The hotel was nice, in a convenient location. It also has a beautiful view of the Dolomites mountain from our balcony and back of the hotel. Food in Hotel restaurant was really good. However, breakfast could have some improvements in protein (eggs) option. Rooms do no have air conditioner and in summer can be a little warm. Also since our room was located on top of the restaurant it was really noisy at night and we could not sleep until past 11:00pm.

Great hotel with great services. It is not inside the town but close enough; only 8 mins drive. Room is neat and clean, with good view. Staffs are very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back. Celia

This was a great ski in, ski out hotel, 2 restaurants, great breakfast, parking, etc. I’d recommend this to anyone. It was not however 1.5 miles from Cortina, it was about 6 km up a very steep, very windy road!

Our room was excellent and all staff exceptional.

Beautiful location.

First time we stayed outside Marriott property, it is very good, clean, steam and sona at room was amazing. Staff is very good especially at front desk people are very humble and helpful. Location ks breathtaking, surrounded by mountains and green nature. Overall this is the best place to stay in Dolomites.if we go again, for sure we will stay here.

Check in person was very rude and argued loudly for more than 20 minutes before he finally decided would check me in after my 8 hour drive from Croatia

Hotel feels old and smells old a bit. No kettle in the room . Shower water pressure is weak. Basic breakfast. We ordered a pizza at the restaurant- it was inedible. Good location . Can get to major attractions easy by car.

Our room was located just above the entrance and outdoor seating for the bar. So we had to put up with people and traffi noise, as well cigarette smoke late into the night. Closing the windows reduced much of the pollution but that made the room extremely stuffy as the air conditioning was turned off by the hotel. It was a terribly located room.

Room was comfortable with a small balcony with great views of the Dolomites. The upper bunk bed area was pretty uncomfortable for our adult son, but everything else was modern and comfortable. The room even included a sauna. The staff did try to communicate with us in English, but some were more successful than others, leading to some confusion at times. Plenty of dining options in the hotel.

Overall great experience. We stayed in a room with a private sauna and it’s definitely worth the extra money. No complaints except breakfast could use a little improvement in terms of food quality but it wasn’t a big deal and I would still stay again when I’m in the area.

The room was rather tired unlike the website photos, which showed a renovated room. Bathroom was a little dilapidated and in need of a serious renovation. Room was also very noisy with the next room shower right next to our bed. The combination of wooden floors and very thin walls, made the room very noisy. Curtains were very thin almost transparent. Breakfast was a bit disappointing.

The hotel is some way from Cortina d'Ampezzo so no good if you want to be in or near the town centre, however this means it benefits from being in a quiet environment where you can appreciate the tranquility and appreciate the spectacular backdrop of the Dolomites. The rooms were basic but clean and reasonably well appointed, we were at the back of the hotel and had a narrow balcony with views of the mountain behind. At night we slept with the balcony door open and the peace and quiet meant we had a fabulous night's sleep. The hotel staff were polite, helpful and friendly and the building, although somewhat dated, had a special charm clearly dating back to much earlier years with a large, traditional lounge and open log fire which would be very warm and welcoming for those holidaying in the winter months, which we weren't as we were on a motorcycle touring holiday in June. Clearly well used by motorcyclists and cyclists alike,it is well placed for Passo di Giau, infact it is on the main road out of Cortina d'Ampezzo en route to the famous pass and well placed to sit and have an evening beer or two whilst watching passing vehicles coming and going past the hotel front. We ate at the hotel bar restaurant which was of a good standard and reasonably priced - all in all Hotel Villa Argentina is a lovely hotel offering good value for money, with a fantastic aspect and large enough (free) car park to cater for everyone and comes highly recommended for your stay in the Dolomites.

Amazing 360° views of several crags, at base of chair life and very good restaurant food.
