Villa San Nicola

Fantastic! The owner does an amazing job doing every thing possible to make your stay as perfect as possible! Would highly recommend

We only stayed one night but the welcome was excellent. The b&b is located in the narrow streets of Villa San Nicola, Mrs. Teresa got in touch with us and showed us where to park for free and how to get to the b&b on foot. She was super nice and made herself available to help us with any problems. The rooms are basic but very cute and functional. The bathroom is a little small, but nothing insurmountable. Very comfortable beds, rooms equipped with air conditioning and TV. In particular, our room overlooked the small terrace where breakfast is served, with a view over the roofs of the town and the sea. Truly evocative. Furthermore, Mrs Michela took care of serving us during breakfast, as well as advising us on roads and routes to take for the continuation of our journey. Last note of merit: a person was added to our group at the last moment and the structure did not create problems, in fact it did everything possible to meet our needs. Highly recommended!

The staff is really very kind and the B&B is located in the historic center. The rooms and the terrace where you have breakfast with homemade jams (the strawberry grape jam is excellent) are very nice. A small suitcase is recommended because you cannot arrive by car which must be left 5 minutes away on foot but uphill but then it is very convenient. Scandalous B&B. As soon as we arrived the owner asked for payment of the entire amount without us having time to check the room. Well 220 euros per night to sleep on a double bed with a folding mattress. There were 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids in a room where the two double beds (so to speak beds) were divided by a dilapidated cupboard. The fifth bed was another camp bed where the mattress was so thin that you could feel the slats..., let's get to the point, the electrical system didn't work, all the plugs were inserted on a flying power strip (at the end of the bed) The bathroom (never seen one squalor of the kind) had one working light bulb out of three, the shower with a rusty shower head and window was closed by a broken plastic curtain from the 80s. We don't really talk about mirrors. In the bathroom there wasn't even a glass to place the toothbrushes, let's not talk about soap dishes or anything like that... furnishings of the room (old) dating back to the 80s with furniture coming from some former home. After the first day we returned to the room, neither the beds had been made nor the towels changed, nor even the basic cleaning, when we asked we were told that they do it after three days!!!! The state of degradation and respect and hospitality for customers has never happened to me like this. Shame!

An experience not to be repeated at all. The rooms with small windows that don't let a breath of air into the room are mediocre. There is no minimum space reserved for parking (and for a person with small children, like me, it's highly recommended). Bathroom too small, with equally small window (I do not recommend defecating as there is a risk of suffocation with little space). Mediocre breakfast, with the microwave (used to heat the milk for the girls) dirty and full of crumbs inside. In short, nothing suitable for the price paid.
