Villa Santa Maria - Luxury Country House

My husband and I stayed at the gorgeous Villa Santa Maria September 5-9 for our marriage elopement. I don't even know where to start with this review because the manager Francesca, along with the rest of the awesome staff, made our stay incredible from start to finish. Francesca (in the picture) truly went above and beyond making sure our stay was extra special. She felt like a long lost family member! The property itself is stunning, romantic, and feels like a piece of heaven on earth. We loved it so much, we decided to cancel our original location and ask special, last minute permission to hold our elopement ceremony on the villa's dreamy terrace. There is a bus stop just a minutes walk away once you are up on the main street, which is only 2 bus stops away from the main Amalfi stop. We found this to be convenient, though the buses are not always reliable. They provide an amazing fresh cooked breakfast every morning which we ate outside on veranda. The rooms were squeaky clean and very spacious for Italian standards. It was raining during our first night's stay, so we decided to eat on property to avoid the transportation hassle. Angelo, the chef, cooked a PHENOMENAL dinner! We loved it so much, we decided to eat dinner again during our last night's stay as well. We enjoyed hanging out around the villa and utilizing the private cliffside beach area as much as possible. I would highly recommend this amazing property to anyone I know. My husband and I cannot wait to visit again one day!

I cannot recommend Villa Santa Maria enough. If you’re uncertain, don’t be. This place is an absolute gem. Villa Santa Maria is slightly further away from the town but not by much and I think that’s part of the charm. We stayed in the room with the private outdoor jacuzzi and there was a private beach down by the water. It is this amazing slice of heaven in the form of a villa tucked away in Amalfi. The service was also incredible. The room isn’t huge but doesn’t really matter because everything else is perfection. Thank you for an amazing stay as the final leg of our honeymoon!!

We had exceptional stay in the Annex for my partner's 50th birthday. Everything was amazing- from a cocktail on arrival to a special present from the management on his birthday. Francesca went above and beyond to make our stay truly amazing. Booking a busy restaurant for us, a taxi, organising breakfast by the cottage etc. The annex is a peace of heaven- away from the main house, fully private, with amazing views to the sea and lemon trees. We enjoyed jacuzzi which was set for us to a temperature I requested so everything went absolutely perfect. To top up, we had a rainbow which we enjoyed whilst sitting in jacuzzi sipping prosecco :) p.s.The steps are not that hard!

This place is heaven on earth. The villa is cliffside and has beautiful views of the sea. There is a dock and semi-private beach to go to - which are both stunning. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The food is aaaaamazing and the service is impeccable. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable. There is air conditioning. The hot tub is lovely as well. The premises are well maintained and looked after. There are a lot of stairs to get to the dock and the beach, which seems daunting but it was part of the charm and adventure. We had the most amazing time there and can’t wait to come back soon!

This place far exceeded my wifes and I expectations. Francesca and the entire staff went above and beyond for our elopement/honeymoon. They accommodated last-minute ceremony changes and ensured our entire trip to the Amalfi went perfectly.
