I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels in my lifetime, in many countries. This is my first ever review. Bellustar is without a doubt the nicest hotel I have yet to stay at. Ever. The view alone is worth the price of admission - the lowest hotel floor being 39. The hotel is only one year old so everything is ultra modern. There are only about 90 rooms. I give this hotel absolute top marks even though I did not even use the club lounge, the spa, the gym or the restaurants (book early). There is a cafe for guests only and the coffee is fantastic - special thanks to Costas for Tokyo information and advice. All staff speak good to fluent English if that is a concern

I rarely rave about hotels but the BELLUSTAR was very special. It’s a 5 star property but not at all fussy. Our stylish room was on the 42nd floor, with a great bathroom, very comfortable bed, nice sitting area and a spectacular view. The location is in the heart of Shinjuku with easy access to many sites and subway lines, but the noise and chaos can’t be felt or heard from the oasis of the hotel. Most impressive however was the unbelievable level of service. The concierge sent someone to the train station to purchase our bullet train tickets, and then wrote out detailed directions for what to do at the station. Can’t recommend the BELLUSTAR highly enough.

Clean rooms, great view and friendly staff. Everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel. One point of criticism would be the quality of the in room dining.

A beautiful new hotel with amazing architecture and interior design. Truly a first class hotel with the most exquisite furniture and views! The staff’s welcoming gestures and service make you feel like an elite and never wanting to leave. So many great things to say about this place and I can’t wait to come back, such a beautiful property! The first 4 stories are restaurants and entertainment, the next few dozen are hotel Groove, then floors 37-47 are Bellustar. Breakfast is definitely worth it, you have a buffet option on floor 18 joined with hotel Groove, or a private al la carte breakfast on floor 45 with amazing views. Room toilet is separate from shower and bathroom sink. Floor to ceiling windows. 8am-8pm daily coffee and snack lounge included. 5pm-8pm beer, champagne, and wine tasting included. Beautiful high class hotel lounge and bar located on the 45th floor, or your option to mix with hotel Groove guests on floor 17 lounge, both are great. Service is moment is second to none, left my jacket at breakfast and about a minute walk to the elevator I hear running footsteps in which my server chased me to the elevator to hand me my jacket. First class all the way around. Only fault would be the sushi restaurant, no menu and no information on the Omakase style, to an American this isn’t common knowledge. $250/person I’d expect more. Regardless, lunch and dinner is amazing at the hundreds of options within walking distance.

I didn't like the noise, the police and ambulance siren, and the train track sound is very noticeable even on the 39th floor. I needed a noise cancelling headphone to be able to sleep.

We stayed one night. I appreciate the hotel staff being very understanding and trying their best to ensure our comfort. They all speak good English and all were very helpful. We enjoyed the beautiful view out of the full wall windows. This seems to be the tallest building in the area so the feeling was like the whole city at one glance. The room is big and new. The bathroom has separate shower and bath. The supplies in the bathroom is detail oriented and satisfying. The breakfast buffet on 17th floor was nice with some Japanese food touches. So many good experiences and will definitely visit again.

We opted for two corner rooms to share between our family of four. Both were incredibly beautiful and luxuriously appointed with unparalleled views from 40 stories up over Shinjuku. The area is known for its nightlife but if you’re not looking for trouble it’s completely safe and there are tons of restaurant and bar options for every budget around. An incredible hotel in the middle of probably our favorite city. Definitely looking forward to the next chance to come back!
