Although the location is a bit inaccessible, as the shuttle bus is of fixed timeslot and will stop over another hotel before heading towards this one, the experience here is fantastic. The garden is nicer than some of the paid gardens you can find in Kyoto. The mixed gender onsen is fantastic, really enjoyed it.

Great hot spring with Kaiseki dinner and breakfast included in the price. They require to wear provided swim clothing to use the big hot spring.

Excellent Onsen hotel, beautiful garden, smooth hot spring, clean n spacious room, delicious foods. Plus, the small town outside the hotel is quite scenic especially on Sakura season. The price of this hotel is cheaper than similar class onsen resort close to big city, but traffic is actually not much a problem. Especially thanks to a staff Matsu San of this hotel who speaks good English n helped us chasing back our bags which were lost for a short term. Although the whole Lost accident turned out to be a kind action by local people who kicked up our bags left on stream side n handed to police station. Later, police did brought back our backs as we reported 2 hours later. But without Matsu san’s help we might not be able to communicate with police n the whole process might have taken much longer time. An excellent choice to stay if you plan to visit onsen here.
