Hiromas Hostel Yokohama Chinatown

Inconvenient if you have big luggage because there are several floors, no elevator and the room is small to storage a big suitcase. The place is very good for the money, though a little uncomfortable, it's very close to Chinatown and has a lot to see around. There is some noise at night, due to the continuous entrance pin sound in women's room, and nextdoor desk. Beds are comfortable and there's a medium size locker inside the room. Fridge, oven, no kitchen utensils, there's hot water to drink free and shower, toilets, and coin laundry gender segregated.

I recently stayed at a Hiromas hotel Hostel Yokohama and I must say that I was impressed with my experience. One of the things that stood out to me was the cleanliness of the bedding. The sheets were fresh and crisp, and the pillows were fluffy and comfortable. I slept like a baby every night. The ablution facilities were also impressive. The shower was modern and had excellent water pressure. The towels provided were fluffy and absorbent, and the toiletries were of good quality. I appreciated the attention to detail that the hotel staff showed in keeping the ablution area clean and well-stocked. The air conditioning in the room was a highlight for me, especially as it was very cold during my stay. The room was kept warm and comfortable throughout my stay, and I was grateful for this respite from the cold. One thing to note, however, is that there is no elevator in the hostel. This might be a problem for some guests who have mobility issues or heavy luggage. The stairs can be a bit of a workout, but I didn't mind them personally. Overall, I would highly recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a comfortable and clean stay with great ablution facilities and good air conditioning. Just be prepared to climb some stairs!

Pros: -clean, nice bathrooms, friendly stay, downstairs lobby, walking distance to many attractions -price Cons: -Corners were cut when constructing these capsules. They are made of cheap plywood that resonates with sounds immensely. Any slight move leads to loud creaks and sounds of neighbors are not prevented at all. This place is not for the light sleeper - the curtains are also very loud and do not block out much light - The bathroom is on a different floor then were you sleep - no lockers for luggage. Luggage sits at the end of the capsule -

The beds are pretty stiff & not suitable for me. But the most important thing are the kids stay up all night to chat aloud. I had to get up feeling aggravated before they would understand there are other people trying to sleep. I ended up booking another hotel for the 2nd night of my stay.

Although it is cheap, it does not lack in cleanliness and foreigner friendlyness. The staff is always there to help no matter the problem. The rooms are not sound proof, allowing for noise. It does not disturb the sleep during the night, but the morning may be a bit agitated.
