Quite far way from Kyoto Station if you are not using the correct exit.
its near to Koji Station, it is great if u use this train station instead.

Very convenient. Easy to find food in neighborhood. View of Toji from 8th floor a plus even with scaffolding. Breakfast ok. We had triple room, cramped but normally so for Japan

The pictures online when I did the booking did not match the room in reality. I know we were in Japan, so I was not expecting a huge space, however this room was extremely tiny, dirty, the covers on the bed had stains on them, the walls all over the room had brown stains on them and the bathroom had mould growing on the ceiling. It was by far the worst place I have stayed at. I was scared to breath or touch anything, I have travelled extensively and have stayed at airbnbs, luxury hotels and bed and breakfasts and hostels. None had been as terrible as this one. And the front desk lady when we checked in was quite rude.

Nice and clean room but quite small for 3 adults. No storage . No place to properly hang towels. Beds comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was decent. Convenient location, about 10 minutes walk to Kyoto Station. Would stay again if come back to Kyoto.

Staff were kind however they have a weird policy that you have to leave your key at reception when you go out of the hotel. I did this and when I returned - they just gave me the key without asking for any ID - I wasn’t very impressed by this.

Kyoto Plaza Hotel was a great hotel for exploring Kyoto. It's a short walk from Kyoto station (or 2 bus stops if you have luggage) and is close to Aeon Mall (a big shopping mall). Breakfast and traditional Japanese public bath are included with the stay. The breakfast was a simple buffet of mainly Japanese dishes and a few western ones, and was tasty and filling. The rooms are a bit small but very clean. Overall, it's very good value for money. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for somewhere convenient to stay while exploring Kyoto/the surrounding areas and don't plan to spend much time in the room.

The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from Kyoto station. There’s a shopping mall across the street from it. The reception staff were very nice and incredibly helpful when we needed their help in making some Japanese phone calls. The bed is comfortable. There’s a nice Onsen free of charge. They share the reception with Plaza hotel which is a little old. Plaza Annex is very nice though.

The Plaza hotel is a typical Japanese hotel in this price range. Small,clean rooms with polite staff. It is easy walking distance to the railway station and even closer to a large shopping mall.
The breakfast is totally Japanese with no concessions. We were happy with our stay here.
