We stayed at Nazuna Tsubaki St. in Kyoto for one night over our honeymoon. The room, the property, and the area were fantastic but the staff is what made it exceptional. We mentioned to Ariel that we were going to USJ for Nintendo world and she made us a personalized card with paper art to congratulate us. The Japanese and western breakfasts were wonderful and the provided amenities were very high quality, if we ever get the chance to stay here again we will gladly book again!

For the price $1100/night, it was absolutely an awful experience. The AC was not turned on when we walked into the room, outside temp was 34! Within minutes, we had mosquitoes bites (at least 6 on each guest) in the room. The room is tiny for 3 ppl. We could not use the outside tube as there were more mosquitoes outside. When we were having breakfast the next morning, the waitress killed a mosquito with her own hands while she was explaining the food to us.

Offered a good modern ryokan experience with in room onsen. The staff are young, friendly and enthusiastic about their job to make the stay a comfortable one, though service can be more refined. Excellent Wague dinner at Bungon and a very pretty Japanese breakfast! Had a wonderful and rested stay.
