Convenient transportation, there are many convenience stores nearby. The room is a bit small, almost can't put the luggage. Breakfast is okay but not much variety.

Guest House Umikaji - Hostel
(+) clean, excellent location-near yui rail prefecture office station (+/-5 minute walk just across the bridge and turn left walk a little bit more behind otv building) , a stone away to kokusai dori and Ryubo dept store. at kokusai dori st, you can find family mart, 7/11, and other souvenir shop along this road. there's big lounge room with small book area, small microwave at 2nd level. there's washing machine for each level. fast check in process. for the price all is good. there's dedicated level for woman. My wish list for lower bunk bed was approved (-) strict check in time, luggage storage fee Y200 even on the day 1, no lift (it's mention that it's working at 3-8pm.. still nope).. female dorm room at 4th level, hope you didn't bring big luggages

Hotel MyStays Fukuoka Tenjin
The hotel is located in a very strategic place, near the downtown mall that connects to the subway & airport line and walking distance to mini markets, restaurants, shopping centers, etc. The room was not too spacious but comfortable enough. Only downside, the AC was central and since we stayed before spring started, the hotel only used the heater which made it hot in the room unless you open the window. But the loud noise from outside will bother you if you are a light sleeper.
