The Rise Osaka Kitashinchi

Hotel was nice and clean with a freindly welcome. The room was spacious enough for a solo traveller. Plenty of towels and pillows were given so I didn't have to request any extras. The only downside was paying 500 yen per luggage for luggage storage after check out. I understand this might have started due to overtourism but every other hotel I have stayed at so far are still offering luggage storage for free, so this felt like a let down.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here nor would I stay here again. Yes it was clean and there’s good amenities available but the area is very dead. Only one coffee shop nearby. At night the area seems seedy. Loads of old professional looking men with escorts. Loads of women hanging around on the streets. Had no idea until we walked around the back section of the hotel. As for the hotel itself, I got given a double room which was more spacious than my friends but there’s no space to open up suitcases. If you have two big ones, you’ll have to put on one on the bed to open. The bathroom is tiny!! You sit on the toilet and your knees are almost touching the opposite wall. To get off the toilet you’ll have to swivel around and get up without hitting the wall. Honestly, if you’re plus size or very tall, don’t. I’m a size 10/12 and 5 ft and I struggled. There are no rails on the sides or the bathtub, so difficult to get in and out as the tub is deep. Can’t imagine for elderly. There is an annoying sound outside the window. No bellboy to help bring down suitcases. You have to do that alone even with multiple. I disliked very much that they charged me for keeping my luggage after checkout out. I travel so much and no other hotel has ever done that. They charge you 500 yen per suitcase. Ridiculous! That alone has made me never want to stay here again. If you’re staying in Osaka alone and need somewhere not so expensive, then it’ll do. Otherwise, I’m sure there are better places.

The facility itself has nice amenities as for its breakfast options, free amenities and wine options. However, the room was uncomfortably small and the TV in the room was borderline unusable. The location is pretty far from most attractions in Osaka so not ideal for travelers

This hotel had a lovely space but very limited floor space so keep that in mind if you have more than two check in suitcases. Overall, staff were friendly and accommodating.

Great reasonably priced hotel in the entertainment area

Not too close to stations,no storage space at all in rooms,barely space to walk in room leave alone keep luggage. We had to put the suitcase on top of bed.Stayed for 4 nights ,no space to dry towels and rooms are not cleaned for the stay. Very limited vegetarian options so no point buying breakfast if you are vegetarian. Not worthy

Very convenient location

We had adjoining rooms which were convenient though very small as with most rooms in Japan. Breakfast was good with an option for Japanese or American style. They are very strict with check in and check out times though you can pay early to check in after noon. The walk from osaka station was not very long but luggage made it a little far so we taxid back.

Good location, excellent staff and service, and the amenities are great too. Only downside are the rooms are very, VERY, small - even for my family who are all below average in size! However, they still manage to pack a lot in the room.

The first 3 nights didn’t clean up the room, just give the new towel and toothbrush, and charged ¥500 for each luggage storage, we have 7 luggages, but the reception didn’t give me the receipt

The Rise is centrally located in Osaka with good connection to the train network and in good walking distance to bars, trains, and convenience stores. The hotel is well presented and the facilities are as expected. My only note is that the elevator is slow and not well programmed given the number of stories and guests.

Room is ok enough for a short term stay, but it is extremely small. I’m not a big person and I could barely maneuver in the restroom. It is also nearly impossible to open a suitcase inside let alone the 3 me and my wife had. Carry on should be ok as long as those are the only ones you have.

It is fabulous. Good service.

I needed a place in Osaka for the night The Rise did a great job and included a nice breakfast option.
