As announced by Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Tourism Tax is imposed starting 1 January 2023 for all hotel guests that are non-Malaysian or non-permanent Residents of Malaysia. Please expect that hotel will collect the Tourism Tax from you during check-in at the hotel. The Tourism Tax rate is 10 RM per room per night.

General Check-in Instructions
Due to exclusivity andspecialty on Heritage Sixteen, we appreciate if you may take some times to read the house rule. a. Check-out time is 12:00 noon. Any late-check out, you will be considering agree to stay extra night in Heritage Sixteen. b. Valid identification is required. We only accept national ID cards or driving license and passport for foreigners. c. To make the stay pleasurable for everyone please respect each other's peace, privacy and belongings. d. Of course, please do take care of your own belonging as well (beware of third hand). Sorry but we are not liable for any damage or loss of your belongings. e. Smoking inside Heritage Sixteen is strictly prohibited. At the outdoor bar area smoking is allowed. f. Housekeeping work will be carried out from 1200 to 1300 noon. They will notify you by knocking your door with a friendly greeting "Housekeeping". g. We are environment friendly, meanwhile all the bed linen will be change every 3 days (Applicable to those who long term guest) h. Strictly no alcohol in our restaurant and cafe. i. For the same reasons we ask you kindly to keep the public places clean and tidy. We want to be the cleanest hostel you've ever stayed in but for that we need your help! j. We have a close relationship with the Salvation Army and any clothes hanging to dry throughout the public area will be donated to them. As will soap, shower gel and maxi pads that you leave laying around. k. During check-out, all items rented from the hostel must be returned. (otherwise your deposit will be forfeited) l. A deposit of MYR 50 (Per Room) in cash or Credit Card Authorization will be collected for key deposit m. Penang State Government Council Fee is MYR 2 per room per night. This fee is not inclusive in the room rate and will only collect upon your arrival. n. With effect from 01 September 2017, with reference to the Law of Malaysia Act 791, Tourism Act 2017, hotel guests who are non-Malaysian or non-Permanent Resident of Malaysia, are committed to a Tourism Tax of MYR 10.00 nett per room night of stay as determined and imposed by the Malaysian Government, which is not included in the reservation and will be collected by the hotel upon check in. This is to be applied in-addition to existing fees/taxes levied and the existing local tourism fee in Penang.

Very unpleasant. Not like the one in the picture. Bad facilities: Hot ac. I ordered via traveloka for 2 days dormitory of Rp. 200,000 and bring a child but are given one medium room. I was asked to add 50 RM + 20 RM hotel tax = 70 RM for 1 more day but I refused. I only stayed 1 day. Hotel staff are very unfriendly, frowning face and objection when asked for help. Staff get up during the day, breakfast depends on what time the staff gets up. Guests who want to have breakfast must wait for the hotel staff to wake up. Guests cannot check in or check out in the morning or night because the hotel staff are sleeping. The worst place I've ever ordered. Don't ever stay here.

I’ve booked for Deluxe Room with attached bathroom. Upon checking in & after entering the room, we found out the bathroom was a portable build in bathroom & it was locked! The lady who showed us our room said we cannot use the bathroom because it’s leaking. I’m very upset & told her that we had paid for a Deluxe Room with attached bathroom & demand for change of room. She told us there’s no other room & went down to search for the key to Unlock the locked bathroom. Overall, the place is not clean, run down & I will go back again. The towels & bedsheets looks dirty too!

+ Strategic location for food search + check-in and check-out process. + clean towels - his mattress is hard - the walls are too thin so the next room speaks sounded. better choose a shared bathroom room, because its attached bathroom is ugly.

Strategic location near tourist and dining center, friendly service, clean rooms and hotel only its small bathroom, feel welcome to stay for 3 days here. Wifi is sometimes down, except on the main floor. Appropriate price 😍

When we came the first time, the door of the hotel (can only be opened from the inside) for a long time opening, but we've pressed the bell for a long time. In the end it opened, but that any membukannya tourist who was staying at the hotel TSB. The second one we requested a deposit of RM 52 (RM 50 will be refunded upon checkout, and RM 2 TSB regional tax). The second day after our checkin, we exercise morning around 6am but no receptions that case. Arriving at our day of checkout. We exited the hotel at 5.45am to catch a bus rapid to the airport, but as the previous day in the morning there was no receptions, but we have to accept the deposit money that we gave at the beginning of the time of check-in at RM 50. Finally we wrote on a piece of paper to the value transfer (our rights) to the bank account one of us. However, up to this writing we've made, we have not received a transfer of Heritage Sixteen.
