Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa

These spacious balconies and rooms are perfect for a group with room for everyone to be somewhere. Nobody felt cramped, our accommodations held 8 and it was wonderful. The views are spectacular, the staff were all friendly, the pools are the “perfect” temperature for the hot days, a little warm in the morning and cooling as the sun continues to rise. This resort was well taken care of, the food was excellent, very clean and very safe. We will come back again.

Service was really good, all the staff was super attentive at all times. The rooms were spacious, and the views were amazing. They tried to sell us Timeshare, but they weren't pushy with us. They include really cool activities like paddleboard, kayak, hiking, dancing, etc. The only thing I didn't appreciate is that they didn't disclose the price of the breakfast buffet or that they didn't give us the map of the facilties until we listened to their sales pitch. Nothing is perfect, but overall, it is a place to go back to. My family and I enjoyed our stay and heard that other guests enjoyed theirs too.

First off, Do Not buy a timeshare with Tafer/Garza Blanca. I cannot stress this enough. We have one with immense regret. They will dazzle you and impress you…with the best of everything. But once you join, no matter the level of investment, they put you in some of their worst rooms. No matter how many times you call prior to your stay, you will not get what you requested. Doesn’t matter that you booked yourself a year in advance either. We got our timeshare in 2019, and the Garza Blanca PVR has gone downhill ever since. Service, quality, value…has eroded. In 2019 during our presentation for the timeshare, they said they replace all the furniture, beds, linens, appliances, every five years so that they maintain a quality standard to be a 5 star resort. That was a lie. You can tell that they do not retain their employees either. I am certain most folks have moved onto better resorts that treat their staff with a decent income and respect.

I don’t recommend this hotel for a family vacation. The service provided in this hotel definitely is not even close to an all inclusive. Generally the service throughout resort is strained and not friendly. Only breakfast is served as a buffet however to get to our restaurant of choice, we have to ride on a rough ride with a trolley car to the mountain side as food options are limited at poolside or Blanca Blue. Also remember at least 2 of the restaurants are adult only. Pool side service is so slow. We’ve waited 30-40 minutes for a drink or food. It’s not how an all Inclusive resort works. Rooms, pools and views are very nice but for a 5 star Hotel we expected more. Room service is okay. Concierge is not helpful, no map or information was provided upon arrival. And one more fact wifi is very slow and unreliable. Kids club is fantastic and kids had lot of fun. Overall, we decided will not return to this hotel again.

I loved the location and the amenities. But the service was absolutely horrendous. At checkout, I asked multiple times for a breakdown of the total charges, but I was never provided with one. I was told that the bill I received was as detailed as it gets (ie, there was no itemization whatsoever). Afterward, in reviewing my expenses, I can clearly see that I was overcharged by $734! I’ve been calling the hotel asking to speak with someone about this. But they tell me that I have to speak with the front desk. Then every time lm transferred to the front desk, the line simply disconnects! This has happened 5 times now! I literally can’t even speak with someone about this overcharge. Even while we were staying at the resort, we experienced very poor service. We were constantly hounded about attending a talk about a timeshare, so much so that it seriously detracted from the experience. And whenever I would ask a staff member a question, I would seemingly get a different answer. I’m just appalled by the poor service. I still can’t believe that they not only overcharged me (charged the same expense twice), but that I can’t even speak with someone to rectify it! I’m literally still trying to speak with someone about this! The service ruined the experience; otherwise, this could have been a great vacation.
