Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa Pto Vallarta All Inclusive

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel, especially with the service in the restaurant and pool bar. The staff seemed uninterested and inattentive, making us feel unwelcome. It took forever to get our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and not worth the wait. However, the worst part was the pool bar. The bartender was rude and acted like serving guests was a burden. Orders were mixed up, drinks took too long, and when we asked for clarification, we were treated with indifference. For the price we paid, we expected much better service. I would not recommend staying here if good customer service is important to you.

Overall stay was pleasant. The staff is super attentive and did an amazing job overall with service, and great sunset views! This hotel is a bit smaller so there are fewer spaces to frequent and just hang but overall It was nice for the price. The rooms were decent and clean , the only thing is we stayed on the 2nd floor which was loud in the night since the lobby bar was down below and it echoed. The food was good overall there are a few different restaurant options and a breakfast cafe “Fresko” that has a nice cappuccino in the morning. Hotel is close to the center if you’re looking to venture off and see something. I’d recommend this hotel if you want to use it as a hub to get around. If you’re looking for bigger pool space and more loungers etc keep in mind this is smaller and the beach space is not super big. Overall was nice.

During our recent stay at Sunset Plaza, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff exhibited exceptional helpfulness and friendliness, the culinary offerings were delightful, and the accommodations were impeccably clean. A notable instance of exemplary service was when, during a casual interaction with the lobby manager, I mentioned a discomfort with the pillow, which for me wasn't even a complaint. She promptly arranged for a replacement, showcasing a commendable level of attentiveness. However, it is worth noting that during the check-in process, we were unexpectedly introduced to a presentation that, upon later reflection, turned out to be a vacation package sales program akin to a time-share scheme. While we participated in the presentation and honestly conveyed that it did not align with our preferences, the sales personnel persisted for over 3 hours in their attempts to persuade us otherwise. This experience was regrettably time-consuming, especially considering our limited three-day stay in Puerto Vallarta. In light of this, we advise future guests to exercise caution when attending such presentations unless genuinely intrigued by the offerings presented.

The rooms were spacious and clean. But found the woolen blanket a bit musty and that is inadmissible for the price that we paid. The bathroom could have been bigger. Pure vegetarian/vegan options under vegetables and desserts were almost non existent. So I opted for fruits and salads cereal all the time. The beach approach and swimming areas were beautiful. The spa services can be improved for the high prices charged. Room service is charged. No lift facility forcing all, to trudge up the 2 flights of stairs. Anyways, healthy:)!

What a wonderful hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay. Everyone treated our little daughter like a princess and treated us like family. Special shoutouts to Mario, Juana, plus ALL the servers at the restaurants. Great couples' massage!
