My train was cancelled so I spent the day there chilling and organising the next part of my travels. Angel was awesome!! She spent ages talking with me, made the wait go fast! She also let me use the dryer for my washing! The young guy who does the late shift was awesome too, sorry can’t remember his name!

Much more economical that staying in the middle of Amsterdam night life. Just a short bus ride and subway ride from central station. We got all the experience and half the cost.
I mean seriously. You are there to tour, not pay for a room.

Old rundown, dirty hotel. Far away from subway station. Pictures are not correct. If at all 1 star. No computer work station. Tv doesn’t work. No A/C . Front desk employee very rude and not helpful.

Location is close to a bus station, however it's personally not at a beautiful location. Hotel looks a bit old, but got a charm to it. Rooms are clean and quiet. AC works fine. Staff is courteous

It was a very disappointing stay at Bastion Noord Amsterdam, I have stayed in other Bastion properties before and this one is the worst I have stayed in.
Cleanliness is very bad, corridors were dirty and with a smell of tobacco (staff was smoking outside at the end of the corridor with the door open). During my whole stay, they didn't clean the corridors for 4 days (the same dirt was lying there for 4 days) and they did not clean my room either, neither make up my bed during my whole stay, I also found some hairs in the bathroom.
Breakfast was terrible, when food was finished on the buffet they simply do not replace it, so you pay 15 EUR per person for breakfast but if the guests before you finish the cheese, eggs, bacon, fruit or bread you won't be not able to get it anymore. I came in to breakfast on a Saturday at 09AM (breakfast until 10.30AM) and the eggs and cheese were finished.
Also, on weekdays breakfast is until 9AM which I found very early.
Location is convenient, public transportation to the city takes only 15 min. and there are some restaurants around.

A very old building, to be expected, but many people smoking dope in their rooms on all floors. I am sure against the law but in a very old building extremely dangerous for a fire.
