Holiday Inn Express AMSTERDAM - SOUTH, an IHG Hotel

Really friendly staff. Especially Sergio. Easy access from and to central of Amsterdam via tram 5 which is located just round the corner from the hotel.

Staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The air conditioning didn't work as well as we wanted but the windows opened so that was all we needed.

We had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn. It was 3 minute walk from the tram, located in a quiet area and the staff was really helpful. Breakfast was excellent and they even accommodated kosher options for breakfast. Would highly recommend!

Really cheap considering quality, this hotel used to be a no-go for me because of location but now the tram outside goes direct to Zuid and Centraal since I lasted visited so it’s great!! Clean bathroom and beds, kosher food options for breakfast and nice staff, have no complaints

It was a typical European room so it did not have a microwave or frig (which i expected) but it didn't have an iron. Everyone was super friendly and there is a grocery store next door and the tram is a block away

The room was very clean. Breakfast was basic but good options (and free!). Only downside was the shower temp didn’t stay constant, so you had a cold blast in the middle of your hot shower. And the room was really warm.

The property was near a tram. so transportation was available to most places in Amsterdam. There was a 2 restaurants within 3 blocks from the hotel.

Location surprising perfect for our needs as only a few steps away from a regular tram straight to Zuid. From there you can get anywhere. Or stay on and go straight into town. Room was nice. Shower temp went up and down which was a slight pain and the mattress had a slight roll into the centre but was acceptable, just. Wifi fantastic and continental breakfast more than ample. Not the cheapest but when Taylor Swift is in town, no where is.

Good hotel and good room. Close to the tramway so you can easily go to Amsterdam. Overall, a good stay!

Whilst the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood it is directly under the flight path for Schiphol airport. There is also a construction project opposite the hotel - but this appears quiet at weekends. The rooms are allegedly air conditioned - but ours never worked, so we had the window open. (We did report this issue.). The rooms themselves are a reasonable size and come with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and shower. Breakfast is included - a simple buffet of tea, coffee, fruit juices, breakfast cereal, bread, cold meats and cheese; the hot selection limited to boiled eggs and hash browns. Reception staff are helpful and can book excursions and store luggage before checking in and after checking out. There is a parade of shops adjacent to the hotel and two supermarkets. The tram stop Van Boshuizenstraat is a couple of minutes walk from the hotel and is served by the 25 (goes to Amsterdam Zuid/South) and the 5 (goes to Amsterdam Zuid and the museum quarter). It's one stop from Zuid to the airport. I'd recommend getting a travelcard from Centraal or Schiphol stations. When arriving from Zuid you can exit the tram to the right and cross the road by the Albert Heijn supermarket - the hotel is located behind the supermarket.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay very much. The rooms are large enough, with ample room for luggage. The daily breakfast is very good. Proximity to the tram station and grocery stores are both very convenient options. Overall, a very pleasant stay and will definitely recommend.

Hotel was nice and clean / quiet / seemed far out but price was fair and UBER was never more than 5 minutes away. Breakfast was just ok
