Great little hotel, only 10 minutes walk to Central Station, but very quiet. Very friendly and welcoming staff, the guy on the front desk was a lovely chap. The stairs up and down are very steep like many Dutch hotels, but they fortunately have a lift available. I would definitely use again.

This place is great and very clean! We chose the cheapest option because we were budget travelling and it was very nice for the price. The only issue we had is that the property does not have a grocery store or coffee shop close. However this was supplemented because they offer a free coffee service which was great in the morning.

We stayed for 4 nights and had such a wonderful experience. The staff were very helpful and considerate, and hotel itself was in a brilliant location. It was a short walk from Centraal station, Damrak and the city centre.
I loved the gorgeous bookshelves and mezzanine seating area to relax and read, the coffee machine and the calming ambience after a long day of sightseeing. Our hotel room was very clean with all the amenities we needed, and we had a very comfortable stay.
Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit Amsterdam and is looking for a well located spot in a lovely part of town. Thank you Hotel Library for a memorable stay!

Great little place just a stones throw away from all the action in Amsterdam. Despite this, it was a fairly quit spot out of the way of the chaos. Ideal room for sleeping and washing. No frills but we didn't mind because all you do is get ready to go out for the day. Bathroom was actually very nice and clean. Complimentary tea and coffee were appreciated especially as we didn't include breakfast in our stay. Room might get a little stuffy, but nothing an open widow couldn't fix. Just be aware that if you are near the entrance you do hear the breakfast prep and plates clanking in the morning. It's not majorly early but if we'd popped in some earplugs that would have sorted it. Also one very minor downside, our bathroom did smell the tiniest bit drain-y but again the window helped that. I imagine it was because the room was quite warm because we didn't notice it much. Staff were very efficient also.

This is not a value for money. Too expensive but very poor rooms , no AC, shabby bathrooms.
