ibis Rotterdam City Centre

As with any Ibis, it's supposed to be budget-friendly, no frills but still meet a standard of comfort and cleanliness that makes it a safe bet. Overall the location is great, the service was good but the room was a bit off. I was travelling with 2 friends so we booked a single room with 3 x single beds but for some reason, these rooms are designed for people with disabilities. This wasn't mentioned anywhere when booking and whilst I appreciate the need to provide facilities for this, I dont think they are suitable or ideal for regular travellers and it made the stay somewhat uncomfortable. I also think that as a minimum, basic tea or coffee facilities should be made available and I was surprised that the only way to get a hot drink was to pay for an overpriced coffee at the lobby. Overall, I would stay again but only if the price is lower than some of the other hotels in the area.

Excellent as ever, staff always go above and beyond, even sourcing a kettle (not supplied as standard) so us Brits can still have a cup of tea in the morning before breakfast!

Great location. So many attractions within walking distance and public transportation was also easy to access. We were easily able to do day trips to other communities and cities. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice. We did not do the breakfast service. We found the grocery store across the street very convenient for anything we needed. We asked and were given a kettle for boiling water to making our own tea and coffee in our room. It is a budget hotel but very nice I would recommend this hotel to anybody planning a visit to Rotterdam.

Clean, convenient to metro. Bar and restaurant on site. The towels were skimpy in number and texture. It would have been nice to have tissues and lotion. I wouls stay here again.

Good atmosphere plenty of people about so atmospheric but not loud. Pleasant view when sitting oustide the hotel

Nice quiet area.

Pictures are misleading, room very small, no tissues, had to pay for ice. Bare bones type of hotel.Shower had mildew.Bed was uncomfortable. There was a vocal performance and movie on a big screen on the canal right outside the hotel. It was noisy till 2am on Saturday night. If we had known we would have stayed elsewhere. If most Ibis properties are like this one we will not stay at one again!

The bathroom in the first room we were in had an acrid urine smell so we changed to another room. That one was better, but the carpet was soiled and worn, the curtains were stained, and the walls were scuffed all over. I wouldn’t stay again.

The staff at the hotel was friendly and accommodating. The location of this hotel is great. It is very close to a train station that connects you to all major train hubs. It is situated in the marina so the views can be lovely unless you are facing the other direction in which case you are looking at an icky apartment complex. Our first room smelled so bad that I asked to move which was a mistake since we no longer had a view. The room itself was okay but really worn and dirty looking. The beds were clean and comfortable. There was no iron in the room and when I asked for one it turned out it was broken so I had to get another one. I am not sure why the hotel has a three star rating since it could use a good renovation and newer amenities.

The bath towels didn't smell good and there was no waste basket in the room, only in toilet. And there was no brush in the bathroom to clean the wc pot.

Great room and hotel. Staff are very helpful and polite. There was no kettle in room but can ask for one from reception. Great location!

Modern hotel, near to public transportation and restaurants

Rooms were small but I should have paid more attention when booking. It would have been fine for 1 person but with two people it was very tight.

Spot on location, very clean & tidy, great parking next door

They were happy to give us ice for our water at the bar. Breakfast was very good and well worth the price. The only thing I can say that is a little negative is that I don't understand why Europe hotels do not have washcloths. I use a washcloth everyday of my life except in Europe where you can't get one in a hotel for some strange reason.
