The location was good, very convenient for walking around the city. The staff were excellent and the stay was stress-free. The room was spacious.

The room felt luxurious and was very clean. The check in process was easy and the staff were incredibly helpful with luggage and with finding ice. The valet parking was a bit expensive ($35NZD) and self parking is not an option. Overall the hotel is worth the price.

Location is superb, rooms are big and clean. Prices are reasonable too. Great customer service and especially a big thanks to Mr Nugra for all the help. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Christchurch.

A great location with everything we needed in walking distance. Very comfortable beds.
As a family of 5 we did have to call reception each day for towels as not enough were left. But they arrived very quickly when we did.
Lovely staff. Would happily stay again.

An old hotel that had underwent upgrades and become a modern establishment but maintaining old school flavours. Large rooms and bathroom with jacuzzi. Central in location and walkable to all the attractions. Excellent hotel to stay.

We spent our first night there with a AATKings travel group. The 2nd night was after the tour ended on our own. ALL interactions with many staff were AWESOME. Each individual was professional, proficient polite effective very personable and extremely helpful. Most had a very good sense of humor and were extremely good natured. I worked in the computer field for 40 years and it may not seem like it, but we interacted with our ‘users’ and customer service was very important to us. As a data center manager I focused on this aspect… therefore I recognize when it’s lacking and also when it’s exceptional.

The location is ideal and the staff could not have been any more helpful. The restaurant has a great selection of choices and the breakfast buffet was enjoyed by my husband while I had a huge custom made Omelette.I am here 3 days to speak at the New Zealand Lavender conference and will come back to the Distinction next January when I return to NZ
