James at reception was awesome! The process was quick but he took the time to give us some great recommendations for the area. The large penthouse sounds bougie, but it was comfy and spacious - which was great after staying in a few tiny rooms on our journeys.
Thanks to all for a fabulous stay!
The 30 SECOND walk to meeting tours, dining, drinks and that unbelievably gorgeous lakefront made for lifetime memories!!

The property is in the centre of the town so you can leave your car and walk to all eateries & supermarket. Bring a blackout eye mask as the back door doesn’t have a blind on it so makes the room very bright..

Excellent location. Walking distance to Lake Tekapo and Church of Good Shepherd
Parking full, need to park nearby (though couldn't understand why carpark was full, given each apartment has its own parking lot).
Shower compartment not tight shut. Could case flooding in bathroom. Else all is great

Great clean place, pricy for a motel but unmatched lakeside view of the lake and the glacier behind. It’s easy to walk out to the lake at night to see the stars and directly across the parking lot from dark sky.
As others had mentioned the included western breakfast option (eggs and toast) were pretty horrible - McDonald’s style reheated eggs on thin under-toasted white bread. The Chinese meat and noodle soup breakfast looked delicious but noticed too late to ask if that was included in the room voucher.

Convenient location , clean with good lake views , but no lounge had all 4 of us sitting on the bed watching the tv . Way overpriced stayed in better places at half the price

The property was just average, there was no proper ventilation in the property, so there was a smell everywhere especially around the bathrooms. Lights were very dim in the rooms, so the rooms were pretty dark even during the day.we stayed for two nights there but towels were not changed by the staff even once. With all the wet towels and lack of ventilation, bathrooms got more stinky. Though our check in was very smooth and receptionist was very nice and friendly, but Reception/ office remains closed for most of the day, so if you need any assistance, there is hardly anyone there to help you. Property has inbuilt heaters but only cold air comes out of them. Each room has separate/ extra heaters but again they hardly work or leave warm air. So the property was pretty cold especially at night time. One thing i like about the property is its location. Also breakfast vouchers provided by the motel were great. Cafe that provides breakfast was pretty good.

We loved our stay at the Lake Tekapo Village Motel! The location is excellent--our room looked out on the lake and we were within minutes walk of the lake and all the main attractions such as the church and the Dark Sky Project. The staff were so friendly and happy to accomodate all of our needs. The complimentary breakfast/lunch is an excellent deal -- voucher to spend at adjacent Doughboys Restaurant which features noodles as well as homemade dumplings (order 20 minutes ahead but so handy to motel so very convenient). Thank you!

The room is quite basic but spotlessly clean. We could hear our upstairs neighbours moving about all night. Location is ideal. Parking is free but limited. Big breakfast at nearby restaurant included. Overall would recommend and Lake Tekapo area is a must visit.

The motel was a bit old, but the location is fantastic at the center of town and walkable to many eateries and shop.
There is construction works going on at the plot of land beside the motel, and might be noisy at times

The highlight was the stunning lake view from our room, a beautiful sight to wake up each morning.
However, I was dissapointed by the comfort room which had a persistent unpleasant smell that that distracted the overall comfort of our stay.
Their big breakfast offered was a real treat. The comfort room issue is something the hotel should address for a pleasant experience.
