Ridiculous hidden fees for having children in the “family suite”

Property location with a great view. Andy was very helpful and accommodating. Couldn’t thank him more for going above and beyond in assisting us with our trip to steward island.

Very satisfactory overall, room clean and tidy, all facilities worked. Restaurant 30m away.

Nice room in accommodation right on the sea front.

The hotel was located at a great spot and the restaurant next door was worth visiting. The room seemed exceptionally small, though the view was nice. The Chinese staff/owners were very friendly, but the English communication was not great, potentially leading to communication issues. A couple of things in the room, such as the coffee pot, did not work. Staff only nodded. I don’t think they understood. Breakfast was nice, though the coffee was exceptionally weak. Overall, not a bad place and the view as great. Just be patient regarding communications and it’s best to handle things in person rather than by phone. They never responded to online inquiries about our reservation. Please note, we were there on our way to/from Stewart Island. Bluff isn’t exactly a tourist destination. But we do recommend the restaurant next door to the hotel.

Great view. Very comfortable. Continental breakfast with eggs. Fun to watch the ships go past.

Hospitality was superb. We were happy to pay for the accommodation as breakfast was included, but we expected full English breakfast. Breakfast could be improved with the supply of sausages, bacon, hash brown, cakes etc. and more selection of fresh fruits.

Wonderful place. Truly at the end of the South Island mainland. Welcoming, lovely breakfast included and quiet. The dinner at the restaurant next door was fabulous. We would stay here again.

It is an awesome location. The room was a good size. The restaurant adjacent to the property was excellent. Unfortunately, the walls in the hotel are very thin, so TV, conversation and snoring were all quite clear.

Friendly happy staff, ok breakfast, a little pricey for what it is overall. Room small and single glazed windows, walls paper thin and view of a ramp and bins. Would recommend to book a sea view room.

I ended up choosing this hotel because no hotels in nearby Invercargill seemed to be available. (I got the suite - the last room available at the time.) The manager was very friendly, and the breakfast was good. (My only complaint is that the 1-hour window (8am-9am) for breakfast was too short.)

This was an amazingly beautiful hotel at what seemed to be the end of the world. Andy and his team were kind, generous, and attentive..

Stayed here en route to a stay on Stewart Island. Wonderful views over the sea. Very convenient for getting the Stewart Island ferry. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast to start the day. Thank you for getting our New Zealand trip off to a great start.
