Mi-pad Queenstown

Great little place to stay for easy walking around the town. Quiet and had everything we needed. Have given 4 stars due to 2 things - the automatic light in our bathroom kept randomly switching on in the night and waking us up. Other thing is the rooms arent soundproof so we could hear everything in the room above. Otherwise great stay!

Location is fantastic for central queenstown. Room was located on the ground floor and was extremely noisy could hear all the guest coming at going. Curtains were unable to be kept open for natural light as window would look straight into my room from the street. Queen room great size for a solo traveller but would be a bit squishy for couple. Location is the biggest draw card for this hotel.

Our stay at Mi-Pad was quite mixed. Let’s start with the positives: The hotel is well located, just a few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants. It has decent amenities, like (paid) laundry and a cool rooftop terrace. The negatives: Loud road works were going on outside the hotel and no one from the hotel management communicated this to us in advance, despite the fact the work started 2 days before we arrived. Despite complaining we were put in a room facing the works and the manager was unsympathetic. Thankfully a kind member of staff, Millie, moved us to a room at the front of the hotel the next day when we were woken up by the works starting again at 8am (on a Saturday). The WiFi was hit and miss, we could hear loud bass at night from nearby bars and clubs and some of the “smart hotel” features were confusing - like the towel rails which seemed to come on when they felt like it. Finally, the paid car park doesn’t let you pay days in advance, so be prepared to wake up before 8am each day to pay for parking. To be clear, the road works were not the hotel’s fault, but the communication and reaction around them was. Better communication would’ve have improved the experience.

Perfect place to stay prior to the Milford Track or other hiking....while also great for non-hikers! Located just on edge of "downtown" area. Loved it here! Planning to stay again next year!!! I stayed over Christmas and the staff left stockings on our door with little gifts...so thoughtful. :o)

This place was very nice and close to everything. Very walkable and the staff was friendly and very helpful.

Great location to lots of restaurants and shopping. Loved the rooftop terrace! The employees were friendly and helpful. Wish there was a small refrigerator and fan in the room.

Amazing modern hotel. Free hot drinks on each floor, rooftop terrace overlooking town. Easy walking to main tourist area and trip pick ups.

Room was really comfortable and sound proof. Why insist on using an app that doesn’t work! I couldn’t open my door or use WiFi with it but thankfully you have helpful staff so I was able to use a traditional solution!

Great hotel! Very close to the city center and was very easy to walk to, maybe a 5 minute walk. The room was nice and clean, the view from the roof was incredible, and the concierge gave great tips for stuff to do. I was also able to store my luggage easily after checking out as I had a late flight, and I didn’t worry once since my bag was stored in a secure, locked room. Would definitely recommend.

Well located basic accommodation, very suitable. Roadworks all around accommodation was tricky for drop off and pick up. No relaxing during the day with vibrations from road compaction
