Motel Six

All good

Even though somewhat dated the rooms are spacious and very clean. Linen was clean, shower pressure and temperature were spot on. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. This oozes old fashioned service and charm.

Not flash but very clean and tidy. Friendly hosts made us feel welcome.

Housing tenants up all night partying. Sticky floor. Road works all night outside. Booked 4 nights, stayed one. Could not get a refund as booked through expedia.

You pay for what you get. A good price, and surprisingly comfortable unit. And reasonably quiet considering the roadworks happening over the 3 nights of our stay Very handy to supermarkets and takeaways, and close to town centre. Would recommend, especially for those on a biudget.

Internet dodgy and warns not secure, worked for short time on laptop, then didn't. Finally got it on phone, then it stopped on that as well. Room small but adequate for a couple of nights if you are out and about a lot. Easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and a convenient dairy across the street a bonus.

It was the best service ever. No paperwork just walk in the office, he hands ur key to you and walks u to ur room and says have a good night. Thats the way the rest of the world needs to be. Parking was very tight tho so better be a good backer upper and have small car to be able to park because also have to back all the at out the same way u came in.

This motel was clean and quiet. Had all the extras neededlike plenty of kitchen utensils, all needed bathroom tioletries, warm comfy beds etc.

I got a very friendly, genuine welcome immediately upon arrival. What's great is that we got a room upgrade. The space was perfect but what's really perfect is the comfort of the bed, pillows and sheets. After a tiring day, this is what you want the most. Our unit felt really safe to stay in. It was quiet and peaceful. Really comfortable inside with the sofa even as you watch tv. The shower was awesome. I would stay again in Motel six and recommend it too.

Noisy people opposite and next door made for very little sleep

Closeness to Forum North theatre .

All that was needed was a cloth in room, to wipe up any mess made.

A functional motel in the middle of Whangarei so convenient for most shops and attractions. Comfortable enough though the bathroom toilet area was quite cramped. A little bit tricky to manoeuvre out of the parking place allocated to the rear. Generally fare value though.

Felt really dirty. Upon checkin, lifted toilet seats and it had what looked like pubic hairs. So gross. Lady that came to clean it had no gloves. Got changed to another room which was nice.

Owners were great and very helpful.

UHT milk in fridge out of date, no cups or plates in kitchen, iron shape burn on carpet, beds were comfy, shower was great, good location.
