Clean, quiet, affordable accommodation. At first glance when you arrive the motel complex looks old/tired. But the units are clean and some upgrades (modern bathroom) have been done. Would definitely stay again.

A beautiful, bird-filled garden where you could sit and relax with no other buildings in sight.
Very comfortable beds, a great night's sleep.
A genuine, friendly, and professional prprietor.
The best of three motels we stayed this trip, and the least expensive.

Met with a lovely friendly welcome and was especially grateful as was for 2 nights over the Xmas period. Spacious room with lovely bathroom. Loved the patio which was frequented by blackbirds and sparrow and we also saw a Pukeko each day.

Good little motel if you need to stay in the area. Easy parking and relatively quiet. Ōtaki township is just down the road and a BP is very close by if you need supplies.

I drive onto the interislander ferry from otaki 45-55 minute drive. Leaving early avoids traffic into Wellington and staying out of Wellington avoids hotel rates and car park fees. The bathroom is newly renovated— great water pressure! Tiny motel, one level, parking at the door. Great hosts. Great rate. What more do you need?

The owners live on site. It’s little. It’s walk-in/park at door. It’s close to township. It’s walking to food— not hiking —walking!!!
It’s an hour from the ferry check-in.

It had a comfortable, well cared for feel nd a creative attention to detail -Eg plunger coffee packet leaning against plunger, towels and soaps. Staff were friendly and very obliging
