Poenamo Hotel

The aircon did not work, the rooms were not well cleaned with dirt and leaves on the carpet. The carpet was full of stains and the rooms were dusty. The pool was being refurbished, which was not clearly communicated prior to our arrival. Overall a disappointing experience and one that we won’t be repeating.

There was rubbish not cleaned under the beds. Room was ok but needs a bit of upgrade. Carpets had stains on them and the pool looked green needs a repaint

Close to everything you need

Our room was dirty with dust on arrival. Our little boy also found a used mask under the bed when looking for a toy that went under it. It also wasn't serviced properly every day, i.e no toilet paper or new towels one day then no sugar or coffees the next. The shower was also hard to use as didn't have a proper shower mixer on it. The pool was also not keeped clean and was getting greener every day

This hotel is a convenient stopover for me on my way north as it has easy access to and from State Highway 1.It has a good range of dining options virtually on the same premise. Interior is looking a bit dated and good do with a refresh but otherwise very comfortable.

Fair for the price

Room was barely cleaned before we arrived. There was a stack of dirty dishes sitting outside that sat there for two more days after we were accused of leaving them there. Ants in the kitchen which were so bad we had to buy our own poison to keep them away from our food. Bathroom light was broken and door didn't close. Extensive mould in the bathroom. Balcony door can be pushed open even when locked. Stove element was broken. Dish liquid was basically water. Stains on bedding and carpets. Curtains fell off the rail immediately. Fridge frozen section completely frosted over and leaked over everything in the fridge. Found multiple cockroaches in the bedroom during our stay. Tap water for shower and sink is hot enough to burn skin, plus shower handle is way too easy to bump which is a safety hazard.

TV barely worked, parking was annoying and there was insufficient spots available for the hotel. Our room was not accessibility friendly, tripped on the carpet more than I usually trip on things and there was no microwave. Additionally the bath was clogged and the handle was broken too.

It was a great stay

It was like a rave was happening till about 11pm, then some ungodly hour in the morning, they decided to do laundry collection with trolleys that sounded like a tin foil airplane slowly crashing through the entire complex. I could also not tell you what the original carpet colour is or was in our room.

Run down room and swimming pool. Kitchen poorly stocked. Room only superficially cleaned.

Stayed in the apartment section and while they were lovely rooms, we unfortunately were missing a couple of key items in ours and it hadn’t been cleaned/checked properly from previous customers. We had no towels, no teaspoons and no oven rack or tray to bake on. Plus the kitchen bench was sticky and bathroom drawer was filthy with hair and rubbish. We normally love staying here as it’s convenient and modern but lacked servicing this time round sadly.

Couldn't get the usual apartment, so book a cheaper room as all they had...it was an experience thats for sure, wont be booking that room again. Nasty

Comfy bed, but marks on carpet, and a bit noisy late at night.

Very old and in need of a good paint. Paint peeling on windows. Bathroom and bedding clean but had to request more pillows. Only two very flat ones provided. Unpleasant smell. Bath tap drips.

Property definitely showing its age. Bathroom in particular in need of refurbishment. Mouldy ceiling, skirtings coming detatched, shower taps insecure. Office chair by desk unstable.

I was dead tired when I got there and there happened to be some young cheer leading group there who made quite a bit of noise when I was trying to sleep after I checked in. And of course the room I was assigned was right next to the playground there and there were kids literally screaming just outside the window.

did want a room with a bath but its okay as my son still enjoyed the fact the shower head could come down to his height for a shower, great beds almost didnt want to leave them, convenient parking (great idea for parking permits) great quiet stay warm and cozy thank you poenamo team !
