Property was clean and spacious!

Small but practical room for 1 night stop over. Big clean bathroom, sink was broken on the side, big hole in the ceramic. Odd that it has not been fixed yet. Nice and quiet to sleep and comfortable bed

Got the standard double room, small and cosy but for the price you can't go wrong

200 USD per night for hostel quality place. Service is terrible. So bad that we left a day early. Room doesnt lock properly and we told the reception on day 3, yet they havent fixed it. Room was not cleaned for first 3 nights. We asked at reception and they said "you should know you have to ask" in a condesending manner. Well Im sorry I dont know that you have to ask if you call yourself a hotel. Needless to say they didnt clean the room for the next day despite us asking. Had to ask again and they mopped and cleaned the bathroom. However they didnt make the beds. Rooms are smaller than internet photos make you believe. Clean on the surface but filthy if you lift anything. There is blood stains on the bunk bed mattresses. Location is ok

I wish I could give this property five stars. But just can’t. It has a great location. The staff was awesome. There are laundry facilities in the building and a small kitchen that were great. However all this was overshadowed by the fact that our first bed was rock hard and I informed the guy at the front desk the next morning as I was unable to sleep. He was really great and put us in another room. Unfortunately, the new bed was only marginally better. I did fold the mattress pad in half so that we could have a bit more padding. But it was still really hard. The pillow could not be used for cushioning as it was like the density of a bolt of felt fabric and absolutely no help. As a result, during our six day stay we hardly slept and ended up quite exhausted. Sadly, the view out our window was of a Temporapedic bed store. I considered volunteering to sample the beds each night. Some people say that Europeans just have hard beds but this was ridiculous. You should not have to stretch for hours every morning just to walk around. We are not large people and each of us is under 130 lbs. not sure why this is an issue. We both ended up sick and this was I’m sure exacerbated by the lack of sleep.

Charming little hotel located at walking distance of everything important to visit, shopping, and food.

Had a nice short stay here in a family room. Enough room for us in a double and two 10 s in bunk beds, and location was incredibly convenient for Oslo centre

This is a college dorm, not a resort hotel. I liked that fine. It kept the cost a bit lower. Like lots of European cities, Oslo is set up for walking and public transportation, not private cars. Which makes this hotel perfect. It's in the middle of town, within a mile on foot from all sorts of attractions. It's also within a mile of the ferry that can take you to Bygdoy, which has all the museums. You can also reach Bygdoy by bus, but preferred to pay for a short harbor cruise. Vigeland Sculpture Park was my favorite thing, but seemed to be about 2 or 3 miles away, further than I was willing to walk. I hadn't figured out the busses, so my wife and I took a cab. Oslo isn't cheap. It has always been expensive. My uncle reported that my grandfather wouldn't eat when he went back to visit in about 1960. He like the food of his childhood and could afford it. He just felt that it was too expensive. Maybe that's why he moved to the US in the first place.

You really can't beat this location. You can walk to many points of interest and reach others easily using public transportation.

Breakfast was awful. A choice of 3 half Sandwiches ? Not what I expected when I added the breakfast on. Also the room wasn’t cleaned once in 3 nights so a little disappointing.

Room looked much different than pictures were advertised

This was a complete barebones room. The size was equivalent to all other European rooms we’ve stayed in- but basic things were missing… like a place to sit, other than the bed. Actual night stands. Or a simple electric kettle (which would have been nice given breakfast wasn’t an option.)
