From the first minutes you enter the hotel, you are surrounded by an atmosphere of attentiveness and responsiveness. The staff is sensitive and understanding of your needs and is worthy of all praise. Without any doubt, next time I will definitely stay at the Scandic hotel. The employee at the front desk deserves special mention; he is a very caring and friendly young man.

Lovely breakfast. It was fun to have some gift items in the lobby. Well displayed, not obtrusive, but I found some local things that I purchased.

I will never come back to this hotel!! Firstly, we had to wait for about 20-25mins for someone to attend to us for check in. Next, the hotel staff wasn’t helpful when I called to check on lost and found as I accidentally left it in the room when I checked out. They simply said the next guest could have taken it as there’s nothing in lost and found sept. How could the next guest have taken it when the housekeeper will be the 1st to enter the room to have it cleaned!! Definitely not a safe hotel.

We booked two rooms one had been updated and the other bathroom a bit outdated. Grocery store across the street, bus drops off/pickup to/from airport and 5 to 15 minute walk to shopping a, restaurant and water

Last day in northern part of Norway before returning to Oslo. The hotel is located at the entrance of the town, 20 mn from the airport. Very convenient. Near to gas station , convenient to fill up the car before returning it at the airport. Free parking available in front of the hotel.
People were helpful.
A little noisy because of the town celebration. But this is once a year.

We arrived early but were told we could not get access to the room until 3pm. While this was their listed time, most hotels will let weary travellers into their booked room earlier if it has been prepared. Not Kirkenes Scandic! To the dot we and others had to congregate in the lobby and wait.

This is Scandic. The rooms are not fancy but they are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. We had a standard twin room which had a kettle and tea/coffee making supplies which we very much appreciated.

Unexpectedly great quality. Clean, conveniently located. 20min walk to terminal.
The included breakfast was excellent in terms of quality and variety. We ate one evening meal - which was also good quality.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff and excellent food both at breakfast and in the restaurant for dinner.
We also appreciated having a nice large gym to undertake our daily exercises.
Quiet, clean room with good views over the small town. It snowed while we were here. We know next to nothing about snow ( it's rare in Australia!) but the staff described it as "crunchy not slippery", which was correct. We were grateful for their care of us as rather elderly travellers.
Ps, have the fish soup. Its name doesn't do it justice. It's delicious
