Quinta do Furão was a fantastic hotel choice overall. The facilities and pools were beautiful but what really stood out was the customer service. From the first moment we arrived the staff were extremely service oriented. The hotel organized snack packs for our daily hikes, arranged all our taxis, delivered an excellent buffet breakfast, checked in via text to see if we were happy during our stay, left complimentary chocolates in our room, and helped us promptly at the front desk with all our questions and needs. The staff at the restaurant were a little earlier in their careers but brought smiles and politeness to our dining experience. It’s really obvious when staff are well trained, and at Quinta do Furão that came through strongly. A great stay.

The hotel complex is a wonderful place to switch off and relax. the view and the location are perfect.
The service staff is always friendly, service-oriented and always has a smile on their faces.
Your breakfast buffet offers everything you need for a nice and peaceful start to the day.

We loved everything about this place. Setting, room, views, food, service — all exceptional. In fact, we extended our stay for three extra days as we could not bear to leave. There are many hotels to choose from in Madeira, but there is no need to look beyond this one. It’s perfect.

Rooms are modern and good equipped, at least the one we had in the renovated part of the hotel.
In contradiction to other feedback we have read, we cannot recommend the food of the linked Restaurant. It does not fit to the hotel at all - feels more like canteen food.

Due to a family bereavement we had to leave our holiday early and book flights home. All other hotels were sympathetic, understanding, and agreed to cancel free of charge or a small cost incurred. This hotel did not make any accommodations.
Although I’m aware that it is not the responsibility of the hotel to accommodate this, they did not even reply to my message on the booking app or by email. I wouldn’t make a booking with the hotel again because of this.
