The rooms and location are really incredible. The nearby estuary is amazing with a great circuit of trails. The reason for my disgruntlement is that I became ill in the wee hours after eating at their restaurant. Food poisoning or a bug, I don’t know. They were fine in providing me, when requested with liquids but not very solicitous or offering of help. Appreciate it’s not their job to be a hospice but I was at their hotel solo and without laying blame, did suffer the night I ate at their restaurant. Because of the small intimate nature of the place it would have been nice for a check in from them when I was passed out the next day. Oh, and the incessant yapping dog that one of the guests had, a comfort for her, but for others, not so much.

Agree with some of the other reviewers- design is the only thing good about the place. The property is in poor shape. Our room window glass was broken. There were bugs. There was rust on some of the fixtures. While I loved the environmentally friendly concept the quality was sub par.

It was an amazing experience. The breakfast was really good and well served. The room we stayed for two nights was really big and cosy. Also the staff was really nice and helpful. They didn't even charge us for the room service fee due to the kitchen being late on our meals. We will definitely return in the future!

surprised at some of the negative reviews that I had read about upkeep. From reading the reviews, I had quite low expectations; but we thought that the place was pretty beautiful, especially at night with the lights and stuff.
It's a cool and unique concept. Loved the library for example.
