The room was larger than expected and seemed fairly new. The wardrobe was weird being a metal stand with no door, the beds were comfy but the pillows were on the hard side with one square and one oblong of non-standard size. The bathroom was clean but oh no, soap and shower refillable tube dispensers the type you find in cheap hotels and not up to the individual toiletries which should have been provided. The coffee machine was nice, but there were no instructions or indications to tell you what the coloured coffee capsules meant, and only one packet of biscuits per room- how mean is that? The breakfast food and selection was superb but please cook the tomatoes and mushrooms first. The lack of spare cutlery and no decaf coffee unless you asked for it is a mistake. Hotels.com charged us more than booking direct with the Hotel- so beware. The seats in the lobby and bar area were very uncomfortable and could explain why the area was so quiet- and oh that dreadful muzzak-get rid of it!

After having a late night, I was woken up with the fire alarm around 8am, I had to make my way down from the 4th floor in my night wear and wait outside until the false alarm was confirmed. I wasn't offered any explanation or apology from the hotel, nor any form of compensation. It wasn't even mentioned nice hotel, but standing in boxers and a t shirt when it's - 4 wasn't exactly how I wanted to start my day.

Brilliant location in the centre of Glasgow. Staff all very welcoming. Room was spacious and very clean. It had every amenity we could need. Highly recommend.

The room was booked for my daughter as an early birthday treat. She had a lovely relaxing stay. The only problem she encountered was when ordering room service for breakfast the following morning. She was advised when checking in that she could order room service for breakfast but when she phoned reception another member of staff informed her room service was not available for mornings & my daughter missed breakfast which was a shame aszshe ran out of time.

Excellent hotel, can’t wait to return.

Beautiful hotel, we were upgraded when we checked in. Lovely spacious room with good facilities . Would recommend, I have booked again for March next year👍

Receptionist was fantastic in arranging an early check in for me. Bed was really comfortable. The only negative was one of the towels was dirty but as I was only staying for one night, I used the other one provided which was pristine. Overall a wonderful hotel which I will use again next time I’m in Glasgow.

They say "The People Make Glasgow" and they certainly made our stay great. Lovely staff, great room and facilities, perfect location for our visit and a good breakfast.

Absolutely loved my stay, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud, the comfiest I’ve ever slept in! Staff were friendly and professional and nothing was too much for them. Fantastic location just beside George Square and a great price. I will definitely be staying again!
