Staff were friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Bar was open late for residents, was welcoming and the barman was fun and friendly. Great experience and will definitely return.

We had an amazing couple nights’ stay at the Sherbrooke. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at least once during our stay and every meal was deliciously prepared with sizable portions. The beef and ale pie was more than enough for both of us. The rooms are aged, but quite comfortable with a homey feel. The entire place is quite lovely and quaint. They took care in decorating for Christmas and really made for a wonderful stay. We would love to come back and stay again.

The rooms are aged, but quite comfortable with a homey feel. The entire place is quite lovely and quaint. They took care in decorating for Christmas and really made for a wonderful stay. The staff was amazing, helpful, friendly, and responsive. However our room was dirty, there were stains/dirt on the sheets, comforter, and pillows. The building is quite old and the inside needs an update. All the furniture and carpets look old and over worn/used.

The hotel was beautiful, but it’s in a much more urban environment than the photos will lead you to believe. The grassy area of the grounds is smaller than a tennis court. They also had a charity ball the night we were there in an event space directly below our room, and the music kept us up well past midnight. Not particularly romantic as a result.
