Toyoko Inn Daegu Dongseong-ro

This is a pretty good place to stay short-term. I’m not sure about the level of cleaning in the bathroom—there was a urine stain from a previous tenant…But I liked how quiet the room was. There was only one pillow and it wasn’t particularly comfortable, so I did struggle to sleep a bit. The location is great. **Pay attention to the signage when you arrive. I got dropped off at the parking garage and had to walk down with my bags. The real entrance is to the left (next to the giant statues). The elevators to find the hotel can be confusing.

The front staff was always helpful and the kitchen were so polite and food was good. It wasn't a five star hotel, but there are no complaints.

The check in process wasn’t the best. They made us wait until exactly 4:00 pm to check in even while I seen 2 other couples check in before us. Then when I went to the same lady she pretended she didn’t know who I was. Horrible

Hotel is nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room is clean. Bathroom is on the smaller size but still ok. Breakfast is ok. Better selection on some days than others. Location is good. Near subway station with many restaurants and shops nearby.

Clean place, beds were a bit hard. Great location to shopping and fun. I only stayed one night, so I didn't need more amenities than what was provided. 7th floor rooms aren't the best if you're a light sleeper.

This property has many amenities youd desire out of a hotel, including free breakfast- but is also very affordable.

I showed up early and they held my bag for me until time for check-in. It's the little things that will make me a return guest.

Location was near the subway and in vibrant part of Daegu. Hotel is in a shared building with other amenities. Good experience with friendly staff. Breakfast provided was quite nice too.

A great place to stay in downtown daegu! Just like the pictures and everything was so nice and clean, I was a little surprised haha. Definitely recommend and would stay here again

My mother and I were there for only a night but the staff was very friendly as is usual at the Toyoko Inn Hotels! We had a lovely stay with complimentary breakfast.

Toyoko Inn is good and reliable, especially if you are familiar with their standards and procedures. Their check-in/check-out times are different from other hotels, so be sure to check in advance to make sure it works with your itinerary. Onsite parking is 5,000 KRW, and it's good to check with the hotel in advance if it is available for the day. The main reason I stay here when in Daegu is reliable access to charging for my vehicle. There is an electric car charging station (Charge B, slow charge) inside that can be used with a QR code billing system connected to Kakao Navi. It worked well for me, but very often there is a non-electric vehicle parked there. Once we got the owner to move, I had no problem charging my car.

Check-out is too early but other than that, was great!

호텔 자체는 일본의 여느 토요쿄인처럼 깔끔하고 군더더기 없었지만 고객 응대는 놀랄 정도로 무성의하고 무미건조합니다. 머무는 동안 7층에서 로비를 오가는 리셉션 직원들과 수없이 마주쳤지만 손님에게 가벼운 목례 한 번 하는 직원이 없었고. 데스크를 방문해도 인사없이 손으로는 하던 일 계속하면서 입으로만 대답하네요. 5성급 호텔 서비스를 기대하는 건 아니지만 투숙객이 뭔가를 물으면 일을 멈추고 응대를 하든지 바쁘면 잠시 기다려달라 하든지 선택하는 게 일처리의 기본이라 생각합니다. 잠자리나 객실 컨디션은 좋았지만 조식은 먹을 게 별로 없었습니다.

Cozy hotel, small room (and tiny bathroom), but expected for this area of Daegu. I recommend for a short stay, everything was clean and the staff was polite.

Recommend for downtown if you have a group and want cheap solo rooms for each person
