The hotel owner carelessly damaged and stained an important, expensive wedding dress literally the day before the event and later dishonestly denied it all. We were very accommodating and only asked for the cost of the dress to be cleaned/repaired, ignoring the fact they tore the veil which consequently couldn’t be worn. The owner was unapologetic, callous and expressed no empathy towards the situation. He made no effort to make things right, refusing responsibility for what happened. The room itself was fine, although was noisy at night, early morning when receptionists arrive and has a lot of light bleeding into the room. Internet isn’t great for video calls and would frequently disconnect. UPDATED 27th Sept - The reply from the hotel is entirely inaccurate. No offer was made to resolve the situation, the dress was new and expertly cleaned locally before the hotel saw/touched it. We were also never informed when the dress was moved, which is exactly why this issue occurred. The veil was torn when it was placed on the hanger in the ‘garage’, not ‘ironing room’ (see new photos). Why would we bring a damaged item to our own wedding? Again, no genuine resolution was provided, which is why I’m having to write this.

I cannot describe the distress this hotel has inflicted on me. I had meticulously planned every detail of my wedding, carefully handling the dress with white gloves, only for the owner and cleaner to carelessly move the dress and store it in the garage, as well as failing to tell me. It was dirtied and damaged the day before the wedding, despite just being professionally cleaned at Tintoreria Lavanderia El Sur in Sanlucar de Barrameda the day before . The wife of the owner was upset and briefly asked to help, only for her husband to deny anything ever happened and the two continue to deny the incident Despite evidence no compassion, care or accountability was expressed for what they did, only hurting the situation further. I will forever remember and never forgive the hotel owners for what they did, the dishonesty they expressed and the false narrative they stand by.

Really clean plus friendly staff. Very quiet after 11 pm but reception noisy throughout the day. A good short stay though.

It has been a surprising experience. First of all, delighted with Eva for her professionalism, kindness and friendliness. Modern building, very accessible, with simple and pleasant decoration. The room was very comfortable and excellently clean. The courtesy details have pleasantly surprised us. And what can we say about breakfast at the El Cartujano Cafeteria, simply spectacular. There are few accommodations that treat customers so well. We will return without a doubt.

Accommodation as a couple on the weekend. To say that we have loved our stay from the first moment we were received; a 10 for the girl at the reception for her kindness, her professionalism and her willingness to answer any questions. The very comfortable room, ideal for a couple's getaway, very good courtesy details that are appreciated and simple but very careful decoration. Cleanliness is present in every corner and the bed is super comfortable. The location is perfect, since it is in the most lively area of ​​Chipiona, with many different options to have a drink around the apartment. Even so, I don't know if there is any noise and we have had a wonderful rest. We will repeat and recommend without a doubt, thank you very much for your dedication and good work. And by the way!!!, do not hesitate to book your breakfast at El Cartujano if you opt for the hotel room option like us: the churros, coffees and sandwiches with good sliced ​​ham and quality oil have been the cherry on top perfect for our stay.
