Beautiful building, room spacious for 3 with character and a shower. Lovely balcony. Comfortable beds. Communal bathroom clean and available not overcrowded. Food area well stocked for drinks and Comfortable. Breakfast Lovely. Staff so kind and helpful. Such a gem of a place, great value for money I would come here again.

We booked a double room directly through this hostel's website. We were able to successfully book and payment was made via credit card. Within 30 minutes, we received an email stating that no rooms were available and they would refund us. Thankfully the refund was prompt, however with the conversion on the credit card, we will end up paying $10 to the credit card company to make the refund.
Apparently the hostel does not know how many rooms are available at any given time and will gladly take your reservation without regard for your stay. Beware.

A beautiful , historical building with stories to be told.
High celings with elongated windows and doors.
A great location near local bakeries and a superb supermarket. Avoid the smaller ones as prices are extortionate.
There isn't a kettle in the bedroom but a free drinks machine in the general foyer. This is open 24 hrs a day.
The beds are superbly comfortable and huge.
The room is basic but comfy and clean. A power shower just adds that bonus.

A hostel, but for the slightly older, more discerning, guest. Hidden away but close enough to transport links. Pleasant ensuite rooms, continental breakfast, free WiFi, absolutely amazing historic building.
*Tourist tax needs to be paid in cash on arrival

Second time for me to stay at Hostal Girona. Very friendly service, lovely clean rooms. Delicious breakfast. Highly recommended!
